  1. What game are you watching? Bears vs. Vikings/Refs Oh please. The horse collar tackle was a bad call, I'll give you that. But what about that weak holding penalty they called on Maurice Mann when Chester had a 9 yard gain on the screen? It was a total no-call (just like the horse collar) but killed the Vikings drive. The off-sides call on Brown was tough to tell, but he got off the ball so damn quick I can see why they threw the flag. I should have known that if the game was like this you guys would only be complaining about the officials and talking about how you played as bad as possible. Typical Bears stuff. I guess we're seeing that Rex might not be where everyone thought he was yet. Play a decent defense and have to deal with a little pressure and you've seen what he's done. He should have given up a pick-6 to Sharper too. We'll see how he adjusts. add in 2 very questionable personal foul penalties on tillman and clark. Alex Brown made a perfect jump off the line and was called offsides. Vikes are getting this game handed to them.
  2. PUT BENSON IN THE GAME AND RUN THE FREAKING FOOTBALL!
  3. we somehow need to find a Zebra crew that calls it both ways.
  4. I'm still fuming about that call on Alex Brown
  5. I want Benson in the 2nd half
  6. Maybe we can have a chance in the 2nd half if the Zebra's quit giving the game to the Queens
  7. WORST OFFICIATED GAME EVER!
  8. So far the Ref's are handing the game to the Vikings. Terrible officiating
  9. Ha....MSU = Biggest tools in colllege football.
  10. Congrats to the Irish! Glad they pulled it out. A big shove it to all the ND haters out there.
  11. And that's saying A LOT. The competition he had to beat out to get that distinction is fierce. I anticipated that coming.
  12. Wow..just checked the Box...Hill K'd 10 in 5  I dont' care who the comptetion is..thats good. This is some major talent. Bold prediction. Rich Hill's 2007 stat line 18-6 3.25 ERA 220 K's
  13. did anyone read the turd of an article dropped by Morrisey today http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/columnists/cs-060921morrissey,1,5615772.column?coll=cs-bears-utility Seriously. What more can the Bears do? Yeah they are 2-0 against 2 meiocre teams..but they destroyed them. What the hell did Pro-Bowl QB Hasselback do against Detroit? Nothing. I'm not trying to put Rex in the hall of fame...but he is the best QB this town has seen in a very very long time.
  14. could the NSBB members pool money and buy the Cubs? put me down for $100 \:D/
  15. I remember a another thread on this board were the majority consenses was that Marlins fans were underserving the world series championships becuase of the low fan support. Both Marlins and A's fan bases suck.
  16. the cubs have tried that route already several times. his mechanics & injury history show that he most likely wont be able to start & stay healthy on a consitant basis. the jury is still out on weather he can stay healthy in the pen as a closer. exactly
  17. Bitterness is simply the output of dissapointed fans who actually care about their team.
  18. Cubs.com backs up that Murphy did actually say this... http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=ml-cubs&msg=247294.1&ctx=0 Awesome. See ya Failure. Maybe you can go back to the Twins and get a mop job.
  19. What are the differences other than Leyland? The young arms have peaked and remained healthy. The perfect storm. For their sake I hope they win it this year. They may never be in this situation again. He won in Pittsburgh, Florida and now Detroit. Amazing how those "perfect storms" keep following him around. I'm guessing the Storm lost the directions to Colorado. .750 is not a bad batting average. Who has won consistently in Colorado? So I guess then Leyland is your middle of the road type manager. Not terrible, but not great. Middle of the road??? Manager of the Year - Six times, 3 in the minors and three in the majors (counting this year). Turned the Pirates around in the aftermath of the drug scandals of 1985 and won three division titles. Won the World Series with the Marlins. Had the integrity (unlike Dusty) to walk away from baseball and $millions in Colorado when he burnt out after 35 years. Has the Tigers going to the playoffs in his first year as manager. 1069-1131 .486
  20. Your reduced 35,000 seat stadium still has around 10 thousand empty seats every game. For a team in the pennant race. Spin it any way you want....that is pathetic.
  21. Id say there is a 95% chance that Wood will be healthy by April closing games if needed. I'd say there is also a 95% chance he will tear some muscle or tendon again by June.

  24. Fixed Well played  Someone here used to have a great sig that was a photo of Barry looking up and apparently pointing at a large Photoshopped asterisk hovering over his head ... loved that sig. I would love to see that. 8)
