  1. The record is 14.5 set by Jevon Kearse in 99.
  2. If this is Hendry's offseason, he won't make it out alive from the Cubs Convention.
  3. Updated sack leaders(my own calculations..could be wrong) S. Merriman SD 8.5 A. Kampman GB 8.5 J. Peppers CAR 8 M. Anderson CHI 7.5 tie J. Taylor MIA 7 J. Peterson SEA 7
  4. Mark Anderson now has 7.5 sacks!
  5. 11.4 Million for a .498 SLG %. I think any team would be looking to dump that like a bad habit. Average NL RF slugging in 2006 was 453 Drew was second in the NL in OPS in 2006 by 8 points. In 2005 he led NL RFs with 250+ ABs in OPS by 86 points In 2004 he led NL RFs in OPS by 35 points All of the reasons we want Drew are the same reasons LA would want to keep him. What do those historical numbers have to do with Drew's current production given his salary?
  6. Because no matter how bad the Cubs are, being a white trash Sox fan is always worse.
  7. 11.4 Million for a .498 SLG %. I think any team would be looking to dump that like a bad habit.
  8. ugghhh. Daisuke + Padilla is the way to go.
  9. I missed this whole dang game(you don't even wanna know why) I noticed Gore had a huge game....was this all in garbage time?
  10. I'm sure they will love Jone's commitment to playing fundementaly sound baseball.
  11. Yes, the Cubs signed Matt Harrington a few weeks ago. Remember him? Was he that HS pitcher selected top 5 by the Colorado Rockies a few years back?
  12. Exactly. Typical garbage from them. In all fairness, it wouldn't be very smart to spend 17-20 million per year on him when we have so many other holes to fill. Unless the posting fee doesn't count towards the payroll budget, it wouldn't make a lot of sense. What the Cubs should do is try and get Kuroda as quickly as possible, while at the same time get Schmidt/maybe Zito locked up as quickly as possible while other teams are focusing on Matsazuka. But multi-tasking doesn't seem to be Hendry's best quality. I'd rather have a Diasuke/Padilla combo vs a Kuroda/Zito-Schmidt combo.
  13. Some people call it collusion...I call it owners teaming up for the greater good.
  14. Going after the cheaper option...typical Cubs.
  15. I'm digging a Frank Stallone aquisition.
  16. a get me over at 100. holy shnikeys!
  17. I don't think Minnesotta is losing sleep over this one. They have the "Twins Future sans Liraniano" plan already drawn up.
  18. I always liked Alou. Someday I would love to shake his hand.
  19. The next player to get 20 mil/season is Cabrera.
  20. Smart move. If Torre doesn't win it all next year he is gone IMO. Then he can step right in.
