    The Packers will be a terrible team for a very long time. Look at their draft history the past few years. So many holes in that team.

    Maybe they plan on resigning him, and then promoting it as a big offseason move. Get fans to start think of Ramirez as gone, then, when he signs, it's like signing a free agent. Remove the tin foil hat. The black helocopters aren't coming for you...yet. So it's a conspiracy theory to think the Cubs might botch the offseason and promote resigning their own guys as big moves? Far from conspiracy theory, it's a defined business process for them.

    In regards to Howry...it might not be a bad idea to sell now. I have a feeling his #'s will take a sharp dive in 07. The last time Howry had back to back season of 70+ IP, he only threw 18 the following season

    Soriono is not getting 17/season. The major players...Yankees, Mets, Red Sox don't appear intersted...a market consisting of Cubs, ANgels...etc won't be enough to drive his salary that high.

    If that is true...just give him the $$$ Hendry. You had no qualms about pissing away 7 million in combined salaries via Rusch,Nefi,Miller last season. what is the big deal about overpaying for Aram? The guy is a consistent RBI machine.

    I will eat crow on the Tyrus Thomas pick. I didn't like it in June....but watching him on the court...once this guy has a few seasons under his belt, he will be a premeir PF in the NBA. He is so raw now, but yet can still hang with the pro's because he just has so much damn talent.
