  2. This sucks, but looking at the brightside, it will be nice to have a Noah with fresh legs down the stretch/playoffs.
  3. Thank you. I was reading his last column and thinking, "Didnt I used to enjoy reading him?"
  4. Was anyone listening to B and B on the Score today? My signal was going in and out, so I missed parts of it, but it sounded like the Bears were saying that Cutler sustained the concussion on the last sack near the end of the half. However, Zaidman was mentioning something about Cutler going to the wrong sideline earlier in the game? Which would mean he played part of the half with the concussion. If anyone was listening and can give a quick synopsis, thatd be appreciated.
  5. Can anyone find WAR sorted by decade for players? That would probably give us a quick answer here.
  6. Whats funny is that Quade will be managing the team

  8. "So how come Victor is allowed in there....?" "It says no Zambranos, were allowed to have one."
  9. Or maybe even a 10 day contract, and then on July 18th, he can resign for a max deal. bird rights don't transfer until after year 3, pretty much so stuff like this doesn't happen. Thanks. I knew there had to be something that would prevent it, just didnt know what.
  10. As of right now, the Bulls cannot sign two max contract players. But whats to stop someone like Chris Bosh from signing a one year deal for less, and then resigning with the Bulls for a max 6 year contract the next year? Any money he would lose on that first year deal would theoretically be made up in the next deal and more with the extra year. This would be legal, since you can go over the cap if you are signing your players, right? Just thinking out loud, since this is pretty much all Ill be thinking about this week.
  11. Anyone have a site I can use to watch the game? I cant get ESPN3 at work, and the UNIVISION site doesnt seem to be working for me either...
  12. And that Cubs win was an extra innings victory over the Cardinals. That truly was a great day. I got to watch Derrick Rose dominate at Bernies, and then an Aramis walk-off from the roof tops.
  13. This has to be worse than waterboarding, its maddening....
  14. I have to keep going back to the sched to repick my game, but everytime i type those words I get "sorry"
  15. Upper Deck Box by far. No risk of having your view blocked by people constantly walking in front of you on the walkway and the view is fantastic. You're right on top of the terrace box seats, so it's not like you're further back, either. And it's much more open. No sense of being cramped under the overhang surrounded by thousands of people. It used to be a real no-brainer prior to a few years ago when UD Box seats were cheaper relative to other seating, but they've really raised the price on those seats recently. Here are a couple of examples: 418: http://www.seatdata.com/images/mlb_cubs/800x600/418.jpg 218: http://www.seatdata.com/images/mlb_cubs/800x600/218.jpg (first 3 or 4 rows, I believe) Unless you want to feel surrounded by a ton of people due to an electric atmosphere, such as in a playoff situation (which doesn't apply to this conversation for many reasons), there's really no reason to ever pick 200 level seating over the 400 level. Thanks. I sat in the UD Box last year, and they were great. I was looking into sitting somewhere else this year, but I think Ill stick with the UD Box. Really, Id like to go for seats closer to the field, but my firends are jobless bums and cant afford them :D
  16. Upper Deck Box and Terrace Box are the same price. Does anyone have an opinion of one over the other?
  17. As an aside, I went to look at the depth chart to see who would be backing up Aramis now that Fox was gone (Font and Baker), and I see that they have Colvin as the starting CF, with Fuk coming off the bench... Obviously a depth chart on Cubs.com means nothing, but interesting/funny to see nonetheless.
  18. Alright, I set up my Jobu shrine to help win this game: Framed picture of Kerry Wood (1998), surrounded by a can of Old Style, a shot of vodka in a Cubs shot glass, and a five dollar bill. Hopefully this will appease the Gods....
  19. Without looking at the numbers, I would say A-Ram, Pittsburgh
  20. Thanks guys, I knew I could count on NSBB ;) Im definitely suprised at how low his OBP was for that month, wouldve thought it to be a little higher... Just goes to show how homeruns can mask other deficinies when youre 12, as I thought he had a monster month.
  21. I have this calendar that gives a Cubs fact or trivia every day, and todays was about Sosa's June of 1998. It mentioned that his Slugging was .842, so it got me thinking what his OPS was (or other relevant SABR stats), and where this month ranks within the greatest months ever by a batter. Anyone think they can help?
  22. Money doesnt bring happiness, but...ummm...Im not quite sure how to finish that. It really does bring happiness, hopefully in the form of a Cubs win.
  23. Since this is my first time buying tickets (hooray real job!), Im not sure if I got lucky, but I only had one window open, and I got in within 15 minutes. Got 4 bleachers for my girlfriends b-day!
