With Harvin, Demps and Rainey the speed option off the tackle is simply unfair. I read somewhere Florida is averaging something like 20 yards with that play with those three running it.

on second thought, maybe best case scenario is that he is unable to swing in april, but the cubs force him to DH and so he learns what taking pitches is. -

TJS for a hitter isnt that big of a deal. Hell be back by May at the latest. Maybe not playing the OF every day, but he'll be swinging at first pitches and flailing at sliders in April in all likelihood. -
I was just about to post something similar. Imagine if they had played like this all year. It's one of those cases where the record belies their true abilities. If they played like this all season long, they'd still be a borderline top 25 team...which is what they are. Right now they're a borderline bowl team, and wouldn't sniff the top 25. thats because people are stupid.

arkansas plays football now? anyways lame announcing in the wisconsin game. one of the michigan state guys goes up for a catch, gets laid out by two defenders, drops the ball and is laying on the ground hurt, causing a commercial break. the announcer goes on for two minutes about how the receiver has to make that catch. never mind that he is hurt.

my predictions for ttu and ut. there wont be a pass over 10 yards. both qbs will throw at least 45 times and complete at least 35 of them. both teams score over 40 points.

for players ineligible for free agency its like 85% of their previous contract or something (dont remember the exact percent). I am pretty sure that still applies for free agents to be. I remember this being an issue during the Clemens stuff with the Disastros -

leadoff, anything to get Soriano out of that position. no more waiving at sliders. -
The only problem is what would be the incentive for a team to give up a ML ready pitching prospect if they aren't getting Peavy back? Presumably, someone would have to give up a SP better than Marshall and get prospects back from the Cubs, lesser than the one they are giving up. I didn't say we wouldn't be giving up a quality player.
