    ESPN Classic is having Nissan Heisman Week. Right now they're showing last years Florida vs Auburn game for Tim Tebow. The Gators lost that game 20-17. It's the only game of his career where had a 1:1 TD to INT ratio. It was the second lowest yardage output he had last season.

    You're right. I never said a deal wouldn't make Towers happy without Soto -- just that any deal without Soto that would make Towers happy would be too much to offer from Hendry's perspective.....which is exactly what happened. I win.

    We're not going to give him enough playing time in 2009 or 2010 to claim the starting job. We might as well trade him before we drive his trade value into the ground like we did with countless other prospects.

    That's not so bad if you're in C-USA and you're just trying to win that conference. If UCF was in the, say... the Big East, it might be. But they aren't. So I don't think it's too bad. hes in a position where he doesnt need a stepping stone head coaching gig. he's more liked than muschamp as future HQs go and a LOT more than venables It's a bit odd he hasn't gotten a major program to offer him the job yet. Any idea why not? And if he has, but didn't take it, then maybe he sees something in UCF that he can make work. the color of his skin, unfortunately.

    he beats tebow in passing because hes in the big xii and they throw safe screens. youre basically giving him the heisman over tebow because he can throw the ball to a wr who stands still right after the snap.

    So you're comparing his rushing average to tebows because Tebow is essentially the full.back in a triple option when he runs. yeah that's a terrible way to measure production.

    UCF has to try to recruit in Florida (good luck with getting someone out of the state to come there). They're going to be picking prospects behind Florida. And Florida State. And Miami. And South Florida. And the SEC. And half the ACC. And USC. Not exactly an ideal situation. He could have waited for an offer at a BCS school, if he wanted. As for Mississippi State, they've shown no commitment to their last few coaches. People wanted Croom out from day 1.

    So totals matter for production? They dont. Let's see Colt has a high completion percentage because of two reasons. One, half of his passes go for less than five yards. Two, no one plays pass defense in the Big XII and stopped around 2002 or so.

    And we know Mullen's gone. Reportedly George O'Leary is resigning from Central Florida tomorrow. Charlie Strong is reportedly in at UCF. Mullen to Miss State and Strong to UCF....I guess they don't want to be head coaches for more than five years. I think both of those programs may be beyond repair.

    Guys the deal's done. As we know, Jumbo Jim Hendry is from Florida. Instead of disrepecting Tim Tebow, Jim decided it was best to wait until after the winner of the Heisman -- nay -- Tim Tebow Award was announced, going to Tim Tebow of course. The deal will be announced early next week.
