Let's face facts. He's a catcher on the wrong side of 30 in the final year of his contract. With his bat there's gotta be a taker for him. It just doesn't make sense to keep him. With the offensive moves that the Cubs have made, there's no need for his bat with his terrible defense. We may just have a guy better than him as it is. Look at the Cardinals. Yadier Molina can't hit, but look at the crappy pitchers who have success in St Louis. Coincidence? Of course not. Michael Barrett needs to go. We can give the job to say Jake Fox who homered twice today and is cheap. Sure he may not be as good as Barrett today, but if we replace Barrett with Fox and trade Barrett for someone good it's a great move. Besides Barrett's glove sucks.
