  1. Tim, do you have a way to get ahold of chuck to tell him he needs to pay?
  2. Congrats Shane! After getting married last year, my first baby is due in 2 months. Not to hijack your thread or anything. :)
  3. Why would how long it takes to finish the game matter? Start time I can totally see, finishing time, I don't understand why it'd matter really. Actually, I just went in and read the rules as they were written by Juan. If you have multiple starts at the same time, the highest total will be removed. Cool, I was trying to find it but didn't see it. Bye bye King Felix's start.

  5. I say in this instance you get rid of the higher point start. Finishing time shouldn't have anything to do with it.
  6. Oh, so Zobrist had more points in one day than Carlos Pena and Ian Stewart have all year, combined. You can pick up pitchers in order to get 7 starts for the week. Did he already have at least 7 starts with the pitchers he had, or did he pick them up so that he would be able to get his 7? i don't know, but that has never been the rule as far as i've understood it. ***lineups are to be set on monday.*** you cannot pick up free agents (pitcher or position player) mid-week unless there is an injury. Not only do I seem to recall that people have picked up people mid week for quite some time to get their 7 starts, I really don't feel like arguing against someone being able to get their 7th start. It would probably be a better idea to see ahead of time that you will need another pitcher to get that 7th start, but sometimes weather plays a part in why someone might not get that 7th start, therefore a later in the week desperation pick up might be necessary to get that 7th start. I'm not sure how others feel about this, but my personal feelings are: I don't care what one has to do to get 7 starts, but I'm all for whatever must be done to get you your weekly 7 starts since 7 is all you are supposed to get. And since a last minute desperation pick up to get a 7th start could mean 40 points or -40 points and a significant potential of lost points by not having the chance to get a 7th start at all, I'm okay with that addition. Especially considering the gamble that is being taken by adding someone that most people don't want anyway. Anyone else care to offer up their 2 bits? When Buccholz was listed yesterday as he was going to miss his 2nd start this week, I wanted to pick someone up, but didn't because I didn't think I could. I'd be all for doing whatever you have to do to get your seven for the week though, as it would still be fair. In my case, I'd have had to drop someone to get it, so there is a negative with doing that. If you want the 7th start though, it may be worth having to drop someone to get it. I'd have certainly done it if I was allowed. To top it off with Weaver getting scratched today, I wish I could have picked someone up. Glad it didn't cost me this week. I say let people pick up starters mid week due to scratches or rainouts to get 7.
  7. Clint went to 8 starts this week. I say we get rid of King Felix's start. Going over gets rid of the highest start right? I only had 5 starts due to 2 scratches... nice week for me under the circumstances.
  8. Dunn to bench and Moreland in after the appendectomy. Wilson off DL and in at closer, Rodney dropped.
  9. Is there a time limit for this "free for all"?
  10. So if we end this after 2 rounds, we're going to be allowed to pick up other prospects and it's first come first serve???

  12. Sent Chuck a FB message...
  13. I facebooked Chuck! :)
  14. They've spent half of the last decade under .500 and have one tournament win in the last 11 years. Their fans, to steal my favorite description, are "Kentucky on a boxed wine budget". I don't disagree about the fans.....but that opportunity is a great one with all that Wal-mart money. You can do better than MA. I
  15. But he won... In most brackets I've seen, Utah St. was picked by 70% of people. It wasn't pretty down the stretch, but they got it done. Not looking forward to Wisconsin... Should be a very low scoring defensive game by both teams.
  16. Glad to see Utah St. was the popular pick amongst this group.....
  17. If it makes you feel better, that's as impressive as getting them all. haha. oddly, it doesn't make me feel much better. Hahaha... it should make you feel better that KU shoud now have a cake walk to the elite 8 at least. This day so far does not make me feel good about KSU/Utah State tonight.
  18. I totally agree. Love that they got Beebe'd!
  19. There's still Kansas State also as a team that hasn't been named. 2 seed. Close. A 5 seed. They got screwed. And they are one-and-done. You got that right... at least it's the late game Thursday and I'll be at Buffalo Wild Wings getting sauced and taking PTO Friday. Last year at BW's during the Xavier game, I almost got asked to leave due to being heckled by people who just hated the color purple and had no loyalty to Xavier. At least we had Gus calling it, hell of a game. One of the best I've ever seen in the NCAA's, and probably the game of the tourney last year.
  20. Good lord, the more I look at our draw the more I hate it. I would have rather been a 6 seed. No clue how we stayed a 5. Utah State then Whisky = yuck. Color me uninthused.
  21. NC, is this our Roadkill one? Can you email me the details if not?
  22. There's still Kansas State also as a team that hasn't been named. 2 seed. Close. A 5 seed. They got screwed. And they are one-and-done. Not a good matchup for sure. Hate the 5-12.
  23. There's still Kansas State also as a team that hasn't been named. If Michigan and Illinois got in and KSU doesn't, I'll never watch college bball again. That being said, shoud be in Denver.
  24. So was KSU/VT. While I'd love that matchup again, I have a feeling we get Illinois, Michigan, or Michigan State in rd 1.
