HAHA! And I appreciate that trade. I'm never opposed to trading with you. They've worked out well for both of us. That will only happen though if I'm not in the playoffs and you are and probably vice versa. I'm in agreement though with you or Tim not winning the league.

Well.. crap. For the first time in a long time I feel I have made bad trades... Here ya go.. Anyone else willing to list what they feel to be theirs? Bad trade #1: Me: Bay, Adenhart Juan: Hafner I get Hafner who blows. Bay is tearing it up, which is what I expected him the first time I traded someone to Juan to actually get him on my team. Juan is totally kicking my ass when it comes to Bay. Bad trade #2 Me: O. Hudson, Nady, Lars Matt: Cano I get Cano, who has sucked horribly thus far. Matt gets Nady and Hudson, who both have outperformed Cano, plus Lars. While Cano may turn it on at some point, I should have kept what I had, especially the prospect and Nady. I dunno why I thought Cano would be worth that much as a 2b player. They score the least amount of points. Anyone else have the balls to admit to theirs? :)

Get Tim next week, and historically I have NOT been good against his team. Garza and Halliday 2 starts each this week, although I can't decide if I should use Garza for one and Floyd against KC for the 2nd. We'll see.

yeah, martinez is right up there. delmon young's been disappointing, but he wasn't coming off a 50 hr season like fielder. verlander's been pretty awful too. My own pain: Swisher, Nick RF CHW 0.2133 0.3425 0.3400 97.5 Martinez, Victor C CLE 0.3019 0.3450 0.3648 85.8 Verlander, Justin SP DET 5.16 1.40 103.0 But I think this guy wins: Hafner, Travis DH CLE 0.1982 0.3134 0.3153 73.0 No [expletive]! And to think I traded Bay and Adenhart for him. Horrible deal for me! Oh well.. first really bad trade I've made in a while. Oh wait, I traded Nady, O. Hudson and Lars for Cano.. [expletive]!

I read something that said he was kicked out of a bunch of schools, yet only committed "minor" indiscretions like slashing car tires, graffiti and putting a dead rat on a teachers desk. Okay, so he didn't rape anybody, good for him, but that's some serious signs of one screwed up prick. That was in high school. He had NO incidents at KSU. Starting to think he's grown up quite a bit. Who doesn't screw around like that in high school? It's better than the alternative of gangs, drugs, booze etc..... He's never gotten in trouble with the law. He was a practical joker. As Frank Martin said, if those are the only issues you have to deal with with a kid, then I'll take those kind of issues ANY time. How long was he in KSU? Who doesn't screw around like that in high school? Most people. Graffiti isn't much of anything, but slashing tires, dead rats in teacher's desks, and getting kicked out of multiple schools? Those are not practical jokes. That's a prick with no regard for other humans. Give that person millions of dollars and you are most likely going to see more problems. I'd say spray-painting a teacher's car window is pretty bad. I love how it goes from writing with magic marker on a teachers car window to now spray painting it? Hilarious. -

I haven't heard much good about his intelligence, basketball or otherwise. But I admit, I've only been reading scouting reports and articles on the guys. I'm not a huge college basketball guy. I've actually read a couple articles talking about how smart he is on the basketball court. I'll have to find them and link them here. -

These are some fairly ridiculous statements... 1) A sure 20-10 guy? Not so sure about that 2) Rose wasn't considered a top 2 pick? Rose was always considered a top pick, Beasley was not. If those two could have went straight to the NBA from HS, there is no doubt that Rose would have been picked higher (probably 3rd overall behind Oden and Durant) 3) Beasley was not the best college player over the last 10 years. Stats wise, close...but he played for Kansas freaking State. Kevin Durant laughs at your thought on that. EXACTLY! And he was double/triple teamed EVERY game because we didn't have anyone else that could step up. He had those numbers without the luxury of straight up defenses. Thanks for helping me to make my point! -

I don't see a lot of negativity. I see people really high on Rose because he's an outstanding talent and fills a great area of need for the Bulls. I think most people expect Beasley to be great and would be the clear cut #1 selection--for the Bulls, or most any other team--if Rose weren't in the draft. But calling him a sure 20-10 guy in the pros is ridiculous. Even Duncan and KG aren't doing that any more--few do. Also best college player does not equate to best prospect. How'd Michael Bishop's pro career turned out? That may be the most ridiculous comparison I've ever read. Michael Bishop was a great college qb, and did not have the intelligence necessary to play in the NFL. I personally knew him (played softball with him in college) and he was one of the dumbest individuals I've ever met. Look at Beasley and his basketball intelligence. There's no comparison, especially considering the sport difference. -

I love the negativity in this thread around Beasley. So none of you believe another 20-10 guy would drastically help the Bulls? I think PG is overrated in the NBA. I'd take Beasley over Rose in a heartbeat. You get a sure 20-10 guy in Beasley, which is something the Bulls are lacking in the post. Rose wasn't even considered a top 2 pick until his play in the tourney. I personally think that everyone's hard on for him is strictly because of his Chicago ties. Beasley is a no miss pick IMO. He was bar none the best player in college basketball this year, or possibly in the last 10 years... no doubt about it. -
Well Holy [expletive]! 2 Starts, 2 CG 1 ER performances today. Dye and Howard with 2 HR Games. What is going on??? About damn time! I should be close to even tomorrow with a 2 start advantage for the rest of the week. Maybe the Royals will score a run and Papelbon can get another save! If this team turns it on, I could have an outstanding team, but thus far it is night and day with this group.

I find it hard to believe people who know they have good teams would give up 7 weeks into the season. Not giving up, just frustrated with my team's lack of consistency...

Thanks for the ass kicking adam. If I can't get back to .500 next week, I could become a seller this year. Looking at my team, that's not something I'd have imagined happening.
