  1. Wow.. East has 2 guaranteed playoff spots after this week, with both me and Raw clinching spots. We play each other next week. Only way for Chuck to get in is to beat Adam next week and win the last week hoping that I beat Adam. Wow. The west on the other hand, what a cluster F after this week. 2 teams at 13-7, one team at 12-8 and then one team at 11-9. Eyes of Texas plays Alamo Stealth next week while the 2 top teams, NSBB and Fuzzy battle. The last week of the season it's the top 4 vs the bottom 4 in the West. This is fun! This may be the most competitive season we've ever had in Roadkill.
  2. Hot Damn! Garza with a 50 spot! I should be in decent shape, up 80-90 points with a 3 start disadvantage the rest of the way, and it's looking like I get Braun back tomorrow.
  3. Should be an interesting last 3 weeks in the East. HBC is going to be 3 games back still, and has a ROUGH schedule the rest of the way. He has Beckett and AJB going for 2 starts each next week against me, while my only 2 start pitcher (I won't be using Volstad for 2) will be Kazmir. I'll still get my 7 starts though.
  4. My players on Waivers: Sheffield Gallagher
  5. I'll tell you that I'm rooting for Chuck, because I lost to DE twice this year. That is, should I put myself in a position to have to go to a tiebreaker. That better not freaking happen. I beat Chuck once already, so I'd get him in points if it came down to it.
  6. Yes, it is. If I have good pitching I'll be able to compete. If it's like it was last week I may get trounced a couple times. You, Raw, and I pretty much have the same schedule Adam... I predict something unexpected happening in the playoff run for the East due to our schedules the last 3 weeks of the year.
  7. Thanks Juan.. I made the offer to Justin...
  8. If someone gets the waiver claim before me, that'll cause a problem. I don't want to waste a waiver claim on him either... I know Juan has been able to do it in the past...
  9. Brian or Juan.. Can you add Eveland back to my team so Justin and I can re-process the trade? Thanks,
  10. Ouch. I might have given some bad information in the game chat, Juan. The recently overturned trade of Dana Eveland for a minor leaguer is the transaction that requires immediate attention. According to your rule above, any year with less than 50/5/10 would be considered an exclusion from an exempt year. I assumed the rule was strictly for guys who have yet to cross that plateau. By your wording of the rule above, even though Eveland pitched enough innings in '05 and '06, he would regain a year of exemption status with only 5 innings pitched (1 start) in '07. That, or the wording needs to be changed. I made the mistake of assuming that once a player crossed the plateau of 50/5/10, that any year after that if they got even one inning or one plate appearance it would cost them an exemption. So, we need to clarify this one quickly in case these guys want to go ahead and reverse that trade again. In other words, I was right when I answered the question in the chat and you were wrong when you corrected me. :P I don't think I was the one who initially told them he didn't have any exemptions left, but I just backed someone else who took my same stance. Adam, maybe? That screwed me then.... because I traded him to Justin based on the fact that he had an exemption left, then reversed the trade and dropped him because of the game chat. I think Justin should be given Eveland back and I should get the minor leaguer that I traded him for. He's all for that too..
  11. Which is why I was willing to trade him also. I don't remember what I got but I remember thinking later it was a silly move on my part. I think Braun is just not likeable. You got Tillman and a 2nd round draft pick.
  12. I'd also be pretty happy with my team if my remaining trade doesn't go through. But I sure would like to add one more piece!
  13. I just broke this down from the start of the year... Seems to me I've traded: Major leaguers: Oswalt Gordon Weaver Cordero O. Hudson Nady Bay AJ B. Hafner Minor Leaguers: Cardenas Davis Lars Anderson Adenhart C. Marrero Tillman For: Cano Morneau Kazmir K-Rod Braun Gallagher It's just funny when you look at it that way.. Seems like a ton to give up for only 6 players. This was by far my busiest season ever when it comes to trading. Glad I had the minor leaguers to be able to do it, but that totally diminished my system over the course of the year. Hopefully it pans out for me. Who knows, there may be one more in the works... :)
  14. I believe Justin tried that angle, and it didn't work out for him.. but I don't know what you'd have offered with Felix. Well, I offered a pitcher who has more points than Felix, and it was declined, because he wasn't a true stud and I had a pretty good bat in the deal also. Then he accepts a deal for Oswalt, and a lesser (albeit keeper) bat. Again, I think the deal I offered was better. But it doesn't matter what I think. I don't have to accept or decline my offer. I don't see any reason to get upset over the deal either. As I don't think anyone here is in the business of helping somebody else win the league, even if it is just to spite the 3-time champ.....especially someone in the hunt himself. I would agree with that..
  15. Oh crap.. haha! I didn't realize that! Oh well! Gonna have to get a 3b for next year I guess.. I'll worry about that later.
  16. I'll have plenty of bats to trade away at the end of the year for teams that will be looking then.. I'll only probably want draft picks/minor leaguers in return.. If the season ended today, I'd have the following guys, or at least some combination of them available: K-Rod Papelbon Granderson Sheets Morneau Dye Cano Howard
  17. I believe Justin tried that angle, and it didn't work out for him.. but I don't know what you'd have offered with Felix.
  18. Poor Adam.... He's won the league 3 years in a row... I don't care how much he doesn't like it honestly...
  19. Sorry to disappoint you.. but Brian felt that it helps him for this year, and I feel that it helps me too...
  20. So does Gordon..... And it's not like Oswalt can't have a good end to the year. He's got a 3.2 ERA or so in his last 8 starts.
  21. Trade Completed: I get: Gallagher and Braun Traded: A. Gordon and Oswalt...
  22. I like it! I think that Oswalt could really help out Brian in the stretch run though, with his lack of pitching.
  23. Wrong Sir... I don't even know if my deal will be accepted, but if so, it WON'T be ARAM.
  24. Hopefully there's another one soon! :)
  25. Stupid...horrible post!
