  1. That's CLTV Sports Page. I can't say I'm surprised to see that someone actually said that, although I will admit it's quite impressive.
  2. Pie is 3-3 so far today with a triple, HR, and 2 RBIs. That brings his BA up to an even .400 and his OPS up to 1.062. Cotts with a strong outing, going 4 inning while giving up 0 runs on 1 hit, 2 walks, and 2 strikeouts. He also induced 9 groundouts to just 1 flyout.
  3. Yup. Gabriel Miguel Cuevas Novas. He's a beast.

  5. The Fire play to a scoreless tie...at home...against freakin' RSL. Things are going to get worse before they get better.
  6. I would have loved to have seen Nolasco. I just hope surgery isn't in his near future. Even if things heal up in a timely manner, he probably won't see the mound again before the All Star break. Mitre has been very good this year with a 1.89 ERA (10 ER, 19 R), 1.11 WHIP, 31/9 K/BB, 3 HR allowed, .243/.289/.331 against, and a 3.13 G/F ratio. The most interesting Mitre stats, though, are his splits against lefties. Lefties have killed him throughout his career, but not this year. He has a .239/.314/.370/.683 line against righties in 79 ABs and a .231/.288/.308/.596 line against lefties in 74 ABs. Compare that to his three-year splits of .243/.305/.381/.686 against righties and .349/.434/.552/.986 against lefties and it's quite an improvement. He's coming off a very good performance against the Mets where he went 7.2 IP, 8 H, 1 R (0 ER), and 8/1 K/BB. He did throw 118 pitches, though, so they'll (hopefully) be careful with him.
  7. Yeah, that's certainly what it sounds like.
  8. Rapada comes in and ends the madness with a strikeout. 13-8 the final. All boxes posted.
  9. This is getting sad. 7 runs are in and Iowa is now on their third pitcher of the inning.
  10. Walk, walk, walk, IF RBI single, RBI walk, pitching change. Not a good outing for Cherry, as he's pulled without even recording an out in the 9th with a 12-run lead.
  11. Cherry isn't going to make it a quick 9th. 3 walks to start the 9th followed by an RBI IF single after falling behind 3-0.
  12. Petrick continues to strike guys out. I believe he now has a 23/5 K/BB ratio between Daytona and Tennessee.
  13. Iowa won 8-1 LF Patterson - 1/4, 2 R, 2B (7), BB, K CF Pie - 2/5, 2B (4), 4 RBI (19), K 2B Fontenot - 2/5, R, 2B (12), RBI (31) 1B Hoffpauir - 0/3, R RF Coats - 2/4, R, HR (3), 2 RBI (20), SB (4) C Soto - 2/4, R, 2B (9), RBI (24), 2 K 3B Moore - 0/3, R, 3 K, HBP SS Cedeno - 2/3, R, BB, K, CS (3) SP Walrond - 7.0 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 6/3 K/BB, 11/4 GO/FO, E (3, fielding) RP Cherry - 0.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2/1 K/BB, WP RP Pignatiello - 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2/1 K/BB Tennessee beat Jacksonville 9-5 CF Fuld - 2/4, R, 2B (6), BB LF Cortes - 1/2, 3 BB, K 1B Fox - 0/4, R, 2 RBI (31), BB, K, E (5, fielding) RF Kroeger - 1/5, R, HR (7), 2 RBI (32), K, SB (2) C McGehee - 1/3, 2 R, 2 BB 3B Craig - 0/3, R, 2 BB, 2 K 2B Cates - 1/3, 2B (5), RBI (16) PH-2B Salas - 1/1, R, 2B (5), 2 RBI (19), BB SS Simokaitis - 2/5, RBI (5), CS (1) SP Gallagher - 5.1 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2/4 K/BB, 4/9 GO/FO, WP RP Mendez - 1.2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1/1 K/BB, HR RP Reinhard - 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0/1 K/BB RP Jones - 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0/0 K/BB Daytona beat Fort Myers 3-1 RF Amador - 1/4, R, 2 K, HBP CF Colvin - 1/3, R, 2B (16), BB LF Valdez - 2/4, RBI (28), K DH Dopirak 2/3, R, RBI (5), K 3B Reynolds - 1/4, RBI (13), 2 K SP Estrada - 7.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 5/3 K/BB, 7/9 GO/FO, WP RP Downs - 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0/0 K/BB RP Layden - 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0/0 K/BB Peoria took game 1 from the Rattlers 4-1 2B Camp - 1/3, R, RBI (14), K RF Adduci - 1/3, K, SB (2) 3B Lansford - 0/2, R, BB, K 1B Canzler - 0/3, 2 K LF Joseph - 1/3, RBI (15), E (4, fielding) SS Mota - 1/2, R, K, E (5, fielding) SP Shaver - 5.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 6/3 K/BB, 5/5 GO/FO, E (1, throw) RP Roquet - 2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2/1 K/BB Peoria fell 3-1 in the second game (makeup from 4/7) CF Camp - 1/3 SS Johnston - 1/3, R, HR (2), RBI (9) 3B Lansford - 1/3 RF Carter - 1/3, outfield assist (home) DH Lewis - 1/2, BB SP Pina - 6.0 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3/1 K/BB, 8/5 GO/FO, HR RP Platt - 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1/0 K/BB
  14. Not good: .232/.351/.368 entering tonight's game. Good IsoD, though.
  15. Too bad Pie isn't out there. Iowa has added 3 more so far in the 7th, with the latest run coming on a 2-out RBI triple by EPatt.
  16. And sadly, Nolasco's elbow isn't doing too well. He's on the DL.
  17. He was cruising before losing the shutout on an 0-2 2-out HR off a fastball in the 7th. He was tiring in the 8th and walked his only man (Martin on a 3-2 fastball just off the plate) with 2 outs before getting pulled. The run scored on a borderline error by Cesar.
  18. Now I can watch 1.5 hours of Scrubs instead of letting Vasgersian kill my brain cells.
  19. Lou sure doesn't know how to use his bullpen. Kent really shouldn't have been that surprised to see a slider. He looked like he never saw that pitch before. That was a meatball.
  20. Not the greatest of glove work by Cesar on that one.
  21. I did forget to mention that they'll play China on ESPN2 at 7 PM CT on 6/2.
  22. It's a $300,000 buyout. Of course, Blanco will be due for another ridiculous 2-year deal before that season.
  23. All boxes posted.
  24. The Iowa bullpen gave up 7 runs in the 9th, but the I-Cubs hung on to win 13-8 CF-2B Patterson - 3/5, 2 R, 2 3B (4), 4 RBI (31) SS Cedeno - 2/4, R, 2B (4), RBI (3), BB 2B Fontenot - 1/3, R, BB LF Kinkade - 1/5, R, 2 RBI (15) DH Soto - 2/4, 3 R, 2B (8), HR (4), 3 RBI (23), BB, K C Hill - 2/5, 2 R, 2B (11), K RF Coats - 2/4, 2 R, RBI (18), BB, K 3B Moore - 2/4, R, 3B (1), RBI (24), SB (3) SP Miller - 5.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 4/3 K/BB, 7/4 GO/FO RP Wells - 2.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 4/0 K/BB RP Schappert - 1.0 IP, 1 H, 2/1 K/BB RP Cherry - 0.0 IP, 1 H, 5 R, 0/4 K/BB RP Bailey - 0.2 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2/1 K/BB RP Rapada - 0.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1/0 K/BB Tennessee added a late insurance run and held on 9-7 CF Spearman - 2/4, R, 2B (6), 3 RBI (13), BB RF Fox - 0/3, 3 R, 2 BB 1B Craig - 2/3, R, 2 2B (9), RBI (20), 2 BB 3B McGehee - 2/4, R, HR (3), RBI (19), 5 RBI (19) 2B Cates - 1/5, R SP Veal - 4.0 IP, 9 H, 7 R, 0/4 K/BB, 6/5 GO/FO, 2 HR, WP RP Henderson - 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2/1 K/BB RP Blevins - 2.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2/0 K/BB RP Petrick - 2.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 4/0 K/BB Daytona fell to Fort Myers 2-1 SS Matulia - 1/3, BB, SB (7) CF Colvin - 1/4, 2 K LF Valdez - 1/4, R DH Dopirak - 1/2, 2B (2), RBI (4), HBP SP Samardzija - 5.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2/1 K/BB, 11/2 GO/FO RP Johnson - 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 3/1 K/BB RP Phelps - 2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2/0 K/BB The Chiefs were rained out against the Rattlers. 25. Coca Cola just bought the company that makes Vitamin Water for $4.1 billion. I'm guessing the money Urlacher just made from his share in the company made up for the $100,000 fine.
