  1. He is safe, Ozuna dropped the ball. I meant beat the tag. Brain cramp right there. He had the out at home.
  2. OK, if you're not going to drop this, I'm not going to sit here and let you crap all over me. Yes, I was acting like the game was over once it was 2-1. It's because the Cubs have not been able to win the mjaority of games this year where they've been down by only 1 run. I, nor any other poster here, said anything bizarre or ridiculous in thinking that the Cubs were not going to come back due to these stats, and especially due to them being even worse with 1-run games when they're at home. Nobody said anything that deserved the kind of responses you've been dishing out all afternoon. Drop it, as well.
  3. Bad jump by Murton, but I thought he was safe. Well, he would've been safe if his left leg didn't pop up and miss the bag.
  4. In other words, you have no legitimate response besides backhanded insults and pointless hyperbole. A) Being down 2-1 after 6 innings is not a 100-1 deficit. B) Anyone who feels otherwise, is an idiot. C) You have done nothing but indicate the game is over after a 2-1 lead. Therefore, it is overwhelmingly clear you are in fact an idiot. (fronthanded enough for ya?) namecalling = bad. let's not do it. I don't make up the rules, if the first three things are true, then the 4th must also be true. Cut it out.
  5. I was craving this so much yesterday. Not sure why, haven't had any in a long time. Because of Dwight?
  6. Lilly's only at 106 pitches...what's another 40? 35. Then 3 pitchers for the next 5.
  7. If Hendry calls up Pagan for two weeks, sends him down, and starts it all over again, he'll have a 1.500 OPS on the season. Just can't keep him up for any extended period of time.

  9. Am I missing something with the Dempster hatred for this season?
  10. SRO has sold out. I was tracking one auction for a pair of cheap 300 level tickets during the game. In the third quarter, they were still at $50. By the time it ended about an hour after the game, it sold for $360. Good timing on the seller's part.
  11. I don't know. It depends what they can get for him. I'd prefer that he stay through this season.
  12. Jones career OPS bases empty: 766 Runners on: 814 RISP: 835 RISP 2 outs: 840 Jeter career OPS runners on: 856 Runners on: 848 RISP: 844 RISP 2 outs: 863 Better check back with Tim McCarver as to how to deal with this. My guess is it involves something to do with a needless dive into the stands. Thanks for making the last five minutes of my life meaningless.
  13. Jeter the last three years: Overall - .315/.386/.468/.854 Close and late - .291/.388/.429/.817 Runners on - .321/.403/.450/.853 Scoring position - .310/.406/.465/.871 No difference between what he hits in "clutch" situations and what he hits the rest of the time. Jones over the last three years: Overall - .263/.323/.454/.777 Close and late - .269/.339/.522/.861 Runners on - .286/.355/.505/.860 Scoring position - .281/.369/.555/.924 Jones is actually far more "clutch" than Jeter. Or he would be if it wasn't just luck.
  14. Two of the walks came in the 8th after he already should have been removed from the blowout. He gave up two very hard hit balls to Green, but all pitchers in most starts give up hard hit balls. Some are caught, some go foul, and some fall in. Yes he was fortunate to have one of those stay in the park, but even if it had gone out, that would've been two earned runs in eight innings. Nothing wrong with that at all. And Carlos had a 16 to 4 GB/FB ratio. That's not just good. That's great. It's not like he was giving up rockets all night. He was quite effective.
  15. It looks like the gametime is set for 7 PM Thursday night.
  16. Win or lose Thursday night, this win should be pretty helpful next year. Playing like that against the #1 seed on the road while facing elimination is nothing to sneeze at.
  17. You are more than welcome to join Tony and I. Please do. We need to drown out the annoying Pistons fans. Maybe. I'll probably be there with my younger brother. I guess the Fire game and The Office season finale are going to have to wait. Wow, Bulls.
  18. Forgive me, Bulls, for not going to game 4. To atone, I paid nearly double for SRO tickets to game 6. The UC is going to be ROCKING Thursday night.
  19. Wow. TT can throw anything down within 5 feet of the rim.
  20. Ben Gordon has arrived! And then he picks up another foul.
  21. Bulls up 22!!
  22. Tyrus gets a break. That was on the way down.
