    I assume you root for the White Sox? There's nothing wrong with having a few teams you actively hate. What's the point of going to a bar to watch a game with a team you hate on TV? I mean I wouldn't go somewhere to watch a Cardinals, Pistons, or Viqueens game to waste money and root for a team to lose when my team isn't even in that game. Well, it was the NLCS, and the buzz was in the air. Nothing wrong to go to a bar to watch a playoff game in a major league sport.

    Well, the real statistic is the run expentancy with your 1st, 2nd, 3rd guy leading off an inning vs. your 2nd, 3rd, 4th guy. Cause you're gonna have the bases empty, no out situation no matter what next inning.

    Let's say you were in the 3rd inning down 1 run. The top 3 guys in your lineup are all very solid hitters. There are two outs and you have your pitcher up. Now, would you rather have your pitcher reach base or not? Would you rather have 1) Your leadoff guy at the plate with 2 outs and a man on 1st or 2) Your leadoff guy at the plate with no outs and no one on. Which situation would result in a better chance to score that tying run?

    It could just be because the game was on WCIU. Those are the only games that I can't watch. (Also because nobody did the play-by-play for this game)

    Have you read other teams' message boards? They think that we are just pathetic since we have to root for the Cubs to lose. I can just hear them talking among themselves about how awful it must be to be a Cubs fan.

    Who here is secretly wishing for a Dodgers/Yankees World Series? It'll be so awesome to conjure up memories of those great New York/Brooklyn teams from the 50s. If that happens, you know we'll be seeing some of those old faces again. Moider 'dem Yanks!

    Aramis must love Philly pitching. I believe he had 3 HR's against Philly in 2004 at Wrigley. That was the day I happened to be in Chicago and decided to check out Wrigley Field (didn't have tickets though). Hey Ramirez, you can't face Philly pitching if you go to Philly!

    Aramis with a career high of 7 RBI's. Scott Moore with his first career HR. Pierre with his 3rd HR of the season.

    Urgh....why can't we get these .200 hitters out?

    Man, how come it's after the Cubs have been officially eliminated that they start swinging hot bats. Oh well, at least I love it when teams in the playoff chase totally implode. It'll be nice to see it happening to other teams this season, and not the Cubs.
