  1. Is Dumatrait finally realizing he's Phil Dumatrait?
  2. Just got back from the game .... did Soto look safe or out?
  3. Both losses on the homestand featured favorable pitching matchups and one run losses. I wouldn't exactly call Marquis vs. Estes favorable, Bob. Then again, I wouldn't call Marquis vs. my 5-year old nephew favorable.
  4. Yes. The Cubs didn't know who they were drafting until after the agreement was made with the Reds. Still not quite sure why we went out of our way to help a rival, but whatever. Did we even get anything in return? Straight cash, homie.
  5. Getting ugly in Arlington. 16-8.
  6. Josh Hamilton would be absolutely perfect on the Cubs. WOW.
  7. Eh, it biases the schedule, and usually it seems like to the Cubs disadvantage. Not this year, however.
  8. 2 outs now. It's up to Catalanotto.
  9. Why? Is Ozzie a stickler for grammar?
  10. Agreed. The sooner everybody just views him as a baseball player and not a Japanese baseball player, the better.
  11. I hate when teams make up injuries to get someone off the roster. Same goes for the Red Sox and Buchholtz.
  12. I can't decide what has been a bigger upgrade: Fukudome over Jones or Soto over Kendall.
  13. If the Cubs go 1-2-3, do you send him out there again?
  14. Probably at work. That's where I'm at. It doesn't stop me. Priorities people. It's where I'm at too, but not everyone works in front of a computer.
  15. I wish he would miss more bats though. Oh man Bay just ticked off Soto. What did Bay do?
  16. Don't look now, but Soriano's OPS is over .800.
  17. Who is selling DeRosa short? Just because there is a better option for more at bats does not mean the alternative is being sold short. A lot of people envisioned Murton as our starting LF for many years, but when Soriano was signed, they were happy to upgrade. That did not mean that they felt that Murton was automatically a bad player, just that there was a better option. Besides, ARam, DLee, Sori, and Fuku all needs days off. DeRo is perfect for that role, no? Derosa said himself that he expects to be starting everyday (his WCSR morning interview earlier this week). He didn't understand why Lou benched him the last time. Cool. That really had nothing to do with what we were talking about though. Weren't you talking about if DeRosa should be benched or not? I'm just saying DeRosa said himself he didn't want to be benched.

  19. Berkman homers to give the Astros a 8-7 lead in the 9th. Freaking ridiculous.
  20. To Dusty's credit, this was one of the games of a DH wasn't it? Yep, the 2nd game had this lineup: Perez SS Macias 2B Walker 1B Ramirez 3B Hollandsworth LF Burnitz RF Barrett C Patterson CF J. Williams P Lost 9-4.
