  1. My guess that shot was of the family of JR Towles. Who else in their right mind would buy a freaking JR Towles jersey?
  2. I don't get how he can be that obese in a job that requires you to move around. It is a joke. Who was the really, really, really fat umpire back in the day? I want to say he was fired and ended up suing MLB. John McSherry died on the field.
  3. I see that Lee/Ramirez and Soriano are incapable of hitting at the same time.
  4. I'm hoping Theriot gets out so Lee and Ramirez lead off next inning.
  5. The Bulls also need an offensive presence underneath. Noah's good, but I have trouble seeing him be a 20/10 guy. I think Beasley can provide that. It's easier to piece together big man play than it is to get a great floor general. NBA is geared towards guard play, and Derrick Rose is better than both Paul and Williams.
  6. Just to put it in perspective, the Chicago Bulls had a less than 2% chance of getting the top overall pick.
  7. What #?? It's coming up after commercial. WOW, I am utterly shocked and amazed!
  8. It makes sense what Len says though. Why play deep in centerfield if you don't have to? You want to cover as much ground as you can.
  9. Jason Marquis Jacque Jones Eh, 5th starter and they got about what they expected out of Jones.
  10. Wow, the Yankees are getting destroyed by the Orioles at home. 9-0 in the 2nd. Mussina only lasted 2/3 of an inning. Say what you want about Hendry, but at least he doesn't sign overpaid players past their prime.
  11. Is this really necessary? I love sitting by people like this at games. Makes it so enjoyable. It was entirely unnecessary. I think he would have said the same for Ryan O'Malley.
  12. There's no reason why that should be the case.
  13. Why not? All the research I've seen indicates that a 5-man rotation offers no health benefits over a 4-man rotation. The Dodgers began the 5-man rotation because they had five good starters, not because they wanted to prevent injuries. Then that rotation can be even better if they only use the best 4 out of those 5.
  14. Because our coach got one. And Spiezio. josh hancock would've gotten one Wow. Not surprising though. Go ahead and make fun of Darryl Kile too, because people dying is hilarious. While you're at it, crack on Corey Lidle, he's also dead. At least those people didn't die drunk and operating a 1 ton piece of machinery at 70 mph.
  15. Wonder how Ted Lilly will be received.
