  1. OK Its 7 PM CT right now, which means in 10 AM in Tokyo right now... How about they have their damn meeting already and let us know
  2. Damnit.. Why cant they annouce something tonight, So I can actually sleep
  3. Is it sad that when I go to the bar tonight im going to be thinking about Matsuzaka in a Cubs jersey more than women??
  4. Oh my God.. i think im going to have a heart attack.. you had to get me even more excited.. God I hope this is true
  5. I could see the Cubs signing him just because of the marketability he will have wherever he signs... The whole baseball world is going to be all over this guy wherever he goes because the hype right now is unbeleiveable for a guy whos neevr pitche din the majors yet... We'd be on ESPN, every sports and radio show 20 times more...Id go out and by his jersey right now if we signed him.. And we all know how much the Cubs care more about marketing than winning..
  6. What would you guys do if someway in hell the Cubs ended up being the high bidder and signing Matsuzaka?? Itd be the biggest signing and overall excitement since the Nomar signing... I think I would go outside my house, blow off some fireworks, maybe cry a little bit for joy and let it soak in, Then head to the bar and drink until I would blackout...
  7. For being loaded, how in the heck did you type everything on that page perfectly?? My sentences tend to look something like " I Thynk da Cobbs shood sygn MotsooZakka and Soryano" when I get hammered so I try to stay away from the site on those sauced up nights
  8. I dont know if this was posted anywhere yet http://sports.yahoo.com/top/news;_ylt=AvfFsrF.ctRm7ZA_SrP0C8URvLYF?slug=ap-tribune-offer&prov=ap&type=lgns
  9. From MLBtraderumors.com The buzz around Chicago today is that the Cubs plan on submitting a bid of $21 million for the rights to negotiate with Daisuke Matsuzaka. If other teams believe this leak to be accurate, it may cause them to up the ante if they have not yet submitted bids. The Yankees, Mets, Rangers, and Red Sox are said to be the other four teams in the game. Do you guys think this is enough?? Id go up to 30 million for this guy..Im sure the Yanks and Red Sox are going way higher than 21 Mil
  10. I have him in my league too...He blows this year..I dont know if its Palmers struggles or because he cant handle always being double teamed..But im giving up on him
  11. Gates is the best TE in all of football...You have to start him no matter what....Its like those guys who wanna sit Manning just because Michael Vick has a good matchup..You NEVER sit your top postion players no matter what...Guys like Gates,LT,LarryShaun,Manning should be started regardless of who theyre playing against..They didnt become stars for only playing bad defenses..Clark is good but you gotta start Gates..
  12. Murton,Izturis,Mateo, and Jones for Bonderman and Granderson
  13. Henry is playing the horrible houston texan defense..hes been hot.. you gotta start him
  14. Id say go with your studs...Johnson and Jackson...you drafted them for a reason.. Washington had a few good weeks..You cant count on a guy like that always like Washington who came out of nowhere.
  15. It is a no brainer.....TE's are all the same once you get past Gates,Shockey, and Gonzales...besides the big 3, you jsut hope they can give you a couple points a week and the occasional touchdown...you cant expect big from the TE position..The guy is giving you a starting RB who can blow up anytime..you have to do this deal..
  16. LoL I would love to be in a league like that.. to bad they wouldnt allow dumb trades like that...Seriously its like trading Bernard Berian for Marvin Harrison....Its Reggie freakin Brown..Sure hes doing alright...But Boldin is doing awsome and hes a superstar... and James too.....Your acting like Reggie Brown is Torry Holt...Id do the trade in a minute if someone offered me Boldin and James for Reggie Brown...Your an insane if your the one giving up those 2 guys for one average guy
  17. and Im sorry I typed like garbage..its past 4 AM and i just got home from the bar... thank you and goodnight
  18. OK guys take your Murton 13 HR's and 60 something RBI's.Ill take 30+HR's and 100+RBI's..You have Jaque Jones doubling those numbers and you still all rip on him and desperatley want to trade him.... but,OMG, no one can ever bad mouth Murton.. like hes the second coming of Christ..Sure I like Murton, he has the patience and can take a walk, he got hot in the second half, but then when he was cold, and grounded into about 78 double plays, none of you guys ever bad mouthed him..Murton can probably have 34 errors a season and half you you guys will still be like " Its ok...He will come around...hes cheap...hes still learning...the power will come." or some other garbage... So tell me what sounds better for the heart of the order DLee,ARAM,Soriano or Lee or DLee,ARam,and Murton...Or if Murton is batting elsewhere, Barret or Jones... Uhhh I would think the first one and having Barret batting afterwards then jones after him would be perfect...Murton is a perfect number two hitter...thats where he belongs...If we could get Soriano to play second it would all work out and Murton could keep his crappy numbers and still play LF...OK so answer me this..your the pitcher...would you rather pitch to Soriano/CLee or Murton....Its a no brainer.Youd pitch to Murton... ..Its like pitching to DLee,pitchers are scared of him....You need another power hitter who can strike fear into a pitcher....A 3 headed monster is the key, just look at the other side of town... Dye,Thome and Konerko, that is just sick, you pick your poison...thats what we need..and look how many runs they scored...Matt Murton is the same thing as Iguchi...almost identical stats...Murton belongs batting in the 2 hole...I just wish Murton could play a different freaking position...Anyway,we need another powerbat...We cannot get outhomered in our own ballpark like we have been...I want a world series...I dont gice a danm about what money is spent...Its not yours..its the Tribunes...Go out at spend 200 million..I just want studs who can get me bring a world series to the north side..
  19. Is he going to be better than Murton though? Since neither can play another position I would rather go with Murton. Again with the Matt Murton man love...you guys rather have a guy with only 13 HR's and 62 RBI's than C Lee or Soriano??..Your crazy.... Both Lee and Soriano hit over 30 HR's..the problem is, were being outhomered in our own park..WE NEED POWER...Lee had an average of .300 Soriano .277 Is Carlos Lee going to be better than Murton?? Are you insane?? HELL YES he will...Lee or Soriano at wrigley is a deadlock for 30+ HR and 100+ RBI's...I like Murton but you gotta get over this love affair of him..you guys are just like the Dusty-Neifi affair...OK So hes cheap...who cares about money..the trib has tons of it...Im not gonna wait another 100 years for a world series..Go out and buy it... Get a power hitter,Platoon Jones and Murton in right, get 2 starting pitchers, maybe a guy like Durham to play second because Ronny sucks..and there we go
  20. From Fanball.com Orioles shortstop Miguel Tejada could be an offseason target of the Cubs. General manager Jim Hendry pursued Tejada a year ago before Orioles owner Peter Angelos pulled him off the market and could offer a package built around Rich Hill, Mark Prior and shortstop Cesar Izturis, according to the Chicago Tribune. Our View If you believe everything you've read over the last few days, the Cubs could be targeting three-fourths of the league. It will take a creative approach to fit that many players on their 25 or 40-man roster, so needless to say, don't allow yourself to get too excited until one of these rumors becomes something more than a pipe dream of the local Chicago media. Id agree.. Weve heard every big name in the league pretty much the past 2 weeks..ARod,Soriano,Lee,Zito,Matuzaka,Schmidt,probably 20 other...Id send that package over there for Tejada..Good stats this year, I bet if he was at wrigley he would have his '04 stats back of 34 HR and 150 Rbi's..Tell the Orioles to send us Eric Bedard too...
  21. wow, none of those things are particularly important for a 1 or 2 hitter. Why would you want a 40 HR hitter batting leadoff?? So he can just hit solo shots the entire time? I think Murton would be a perfect number 2 with his OBP..Id stick Soriano Probably 3rd, then DLee and ARam for a sweet heart of the order..Depends whos leading off, We dont know if Pierre will be back but Id be happy with Pierre,Murton,Soriano,DLee,Aram
  22. Face it...Its 99.9% that Hendry hires Piniella....If he pulled someone else out of nowhere, that would be completely shocking...And we know Hendry isnt quite the shocker or a guy who pulls out the moves we all want..
  23. Tinley Park residents crack me up! Haha..Im from Tinley Park...I must say, I find the rich sox fans down here alot different from the northsiders..Everytime I go to the northside I have a blast, the people are alot more friendly and easier to get along with..Way more laid back...As for out here, everyone pretty much thinks they are Gods gift to women, very cocky and way to overconfident, no manners, just completely ignorant and almost all of them use mommy and daddys money to buy or get anything...Figures theyre Sox fans... But they are alot different than the upper class Northsiders...Also I dont know about up there, but down here every guy seems to 'roidin up lately, and the shaggy hair and popped collars are huge over here...I jsut laugh when I see it..It looks so stupid...Anyways its tough bein a Cubs fan around here, theres always a few,but the " rich" Sox fans are just as trashy and ignorant as the other hillbillies
  24. Looks like a match made in heaven for Lou and Hendry..Say hello to your 2007 Cubs manager... http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cubs/91562,CST-SPT-cub11.article
