I see it as a low risk, high reward type move. It's like the Wade Miller signing over again, but has a better upside since Lieber has real good control and more velocity than Miller

And I just looked at the Brewers staff..If healthy.. Sheets,Capuano,Gallardo,Supan,Bush That is pretty damn solid,especially in the NL...I have no idea why Hendry is still tinkering with the offense..WE NEED PITCHING..Say Z or Lilly gets hurt, our staff looks like garbage...For the love of God, forget Roberts, you can trade Pie,Hart,Gallagher,Murton,Cedeno..Etc.. and get a legitimate #2 starter...This 4 and 5 of Dempster and Marquis really depresses me right now

The lineup is fine..Seriously, just get a freakin starter ,Hendry..

I know you have to give something to get something,but theyre getting ridiculous..Roberts is good, but not great..The package of Marshall,Gallagher,and Cedeno is more than enough for him..They say they wanna rebuild over there,but theyre demands are crazy..They want way to much for any of their players

Were interested in Cameron? FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal believes Mike Cameron could soon sign with the Yankees or Brewers. The Yankees were saying they wouldn't bring in a starting center fielder even if they dealt Melky Cabrera, but that was just more deception. It is a surprise that they'd perhaps put in a bid for Cameron before trading Cabrera. Rosenthal seems to believe that Cabrera could go to Cubs, Reds, Braves, Royals or Pirates in return for prospects. The Cubs also have some level of interest in Cameron, but he's more likely to get multiple years elsewhere.

Yes, the guy who took fewer pitches than anyone else on the team has a "good eye at the plate." Theriot does have a good eye. The fact that his P/PA is last on the team is misleading. Most of his at bats came as the 2 hitter in the lineup. Batting in front of Lee, he naturally got a lot of good pitches to hit. Pitchers weren't going to throw him junk out of the zone (because they knew he had a good eye, and wouldn't swing at it) and walk him in front of Lee. They knew that he was a contact hitter that hits the ball on the ground a lot, so they threw him pitches to hit. You can fault Theriot for several things, but having a good eye is not one of them. All you have to do is watch a few games and you'll see that he knows the strike zone very well. Just looking at his P/PA and concluding that he doesn't have a good eye is simply wrong and a great example of how stats don't tell you everything. You're reading way too much into this... If you want to make the argument that P/PA is not good enough to determine a batting eye, the logical explanation in Theriot's case is that, while he may have a good eye, pitchers throw him stuff right down the middle because they know he can't do any real damage with it. Pretty much..He tries to take everything the other way.You might as well put all 3 fielders in RF when he's up.

Just get it done already and then get another starter which is what we really need.

More Sox fans seem dissappointed about the trade than excited about it..Gave up 3 of their top prospects so now their farm system is depleted..

Its a freakin joke man..Prior is not your father..I dont get why people get bent so out of shape because people joke around about a player..I don't know if you have some secret crush or fascination with him, but I could care less if you made a joke or hate some athlete I like..Not everyone is going to like the samething and over half this board bashes some player or sometihng else..So learn to deal with it..

I don't get why so many people take it to heart because you don't like a player..It's not like it's your family member or someone you know..There's probabaly tons of players I like that get ripped on all the time..I could care less..It's your choice..This already reminds me of the Murton thing all over again when you would think Murton is some of these guys relatives..Get over it..No one is going to like the samething as everyone else..Even if their is negativity towards the player..There's no reason to say things like that towards someone over a freakin ballplayer..

He REALLY wanted out if he took only 1 mil to go to SD...Atleast were done with all the drama and contreversy that was involved with him...I see him never repeating himself..He will be a Wade Miller throwing 88 MPH fastballs after his surgery. SD can have fun with all those towel drills and and all drama and crying.Prediciton: He throws a couple pitches and misses entire season with vaginal strain
