  1. Dusty surprsingly hasn't mentioned fishing or horses yet
  2. I bet KW threw 3/60 at him or some number from all the heat he has gotten for losing out on Miggy and Hunter
  3. Bruce, On the Kosuke thread, theyre saying that someone threw a big offer at Fukudome,Perhaps the Cubs?, and he's going to make a desiscion today..Hear anything about this?
  4. woah...That would be crazy if something does go down today...Pleaseee be true and to the Cubs..If it's the Royals..We Riot
  5. SI: • The Cubs are considered the favorite for top Japanese League outfielder Hiroki Fukudome. But the Red Sox could be an interesting possibility, as well.
  6. I hate the freaking Red Sox...Can they just go away? They want freakin everyone..
  7. They've had success signing guys like Shingo Takatsu and Tadahito Iguchi, so who knows? True...If they steal him away from us...There will be alot of broken walls in my house
  8. Will Carroll of BP is saying the White Sox are making a last minute strong push for Fukudome. Haha , like he'd really sign over there...
  9. MLBtraderumors UPDATE, 12-4-07 at 7:04pm: Tasty rumor morsel: Geoff Baker of the Seattle Times says Fukudome is "almost certainly" going to sign with the Cubs. http://blog.seattletimes.nwsource.com/mariners/2007/12/huge_xmas_gifts_in_nashville.html Oh man..i can jsut see him playing in RF right now and the fans going crazy...This is gunna be awsome
  10. Hahahha I never seen that from T.O before...what game was that? That guy is freakin ripped..You can see his muscle in that one..
  11. Hahahaha " While the Tigers may have a deal about wrapped up, the White Sox also made a strong push to acquire Miguel Cabrera this afternoon, offering Josh Fields, Gio Gonzalez and either John Danks or Gavin Floyd." Another kick in the groin to them and plus Miggy and Willis go in their division...Theyre fans are so depressed right now
  12. Your 2008 World Series Champs...The AL is jsut unbeleiveable..
  13. MLB.com is reporting that the Tigers are set to acquire Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis from the Marlins for Cameron Maybin, Andrew Miller and four more prospects. Source: MLB.com WOW
  14. Bruce, Whats going on with the Fukudome situation? Just waiting for his descision? Levine said that the Padres offered him 4/40
  15. The Padres are pursuing Kosuke Fukudome with the idea that he could handle center field in Petco, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. Seems like a stretch, as most teams in smaller ballparks are viewing him as a corner outfielder. If Fukudome could handle center, his bat could make him as $13 million-$15 million per year player. The Giants, Cubs and White Sox are also believed to be interested, though it's unclear if the White Sox are still targeting him after picking up Carlos Quentin. Source: San Francisco Chronicle
  16. I dont know much about Teahan, but his stats suggest he's just like Murton but left-handed...Can anyone fill me in?
  17. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee tell us your coming to the USA Kosuke...If the Padres steal him away, all hell is gunna break loose
  18. Geoff Baker of the Seattle Times has heard rumors of a Raul Ibanez-for-Mark Prior trade, though he's been told it isn't happening. The Cubs are interested in Ibanez, but they're likely targeting Kosuke Fukudome first, and the Mariners would almost surely want a better bet in return anyway.
  19. So when Mourton gets traded are all the Murton lovers going to have a candlelight vigil outside of wrigley?
  20. MLBTradeRumors.com Bruce Levine of ESPN 1000 went on air a few hours ago with some interesting tidbits regarding the Chicago teams. This was before the Sox acquired Carlos Quentin so I'm not sure what kind of effect that has on this info. The White Sox are still very much in the mix for Aaron Rowand, but they really don't want to give him five years. By the way Jerry Crasnick mentioned today that the Phillies may be willing to stretch to four years on Rowand or at least three years plus a vesting option. The Cubs are having all sorts of trade discussions involving Mark Prior. The Rangers and Padres are said to be two interested parties. Of course the Cubs still have Kosuke Fukudome in their sights. But they also have their eye on Oakland's Nick Swisher and Arizona's Orlando Hudson. Both are switch-hitters, by the way.
  21. RotoWorld The Washington Post reports that Erik Bedard has informed the Orioles he has no interest in signing an extension to stay in Baltimore. It's hard to blame Bedard for not wanting to commit to an organization that's been run so poorly for so long, though there is the potential for things to turn around now with Andy MacPhail in control. If Bedard is taking this kind of stance, the Orioles might as well trade him now. The Mets and Dodgers have engaged in serious talks with the club, and the loser of the Johan Santana sweepstakes also figures to get involved. Hendry should definetley go after him..give them some of our young guys..Z,Bedard,Lilly,and Hill would be nice..
  22. I hope we get him. I've been seein on other sites, Cubs fans have been emailing him at his website trying to pursuade him to come over here, just letting him know the benefits of coming to Chicago...Its worth a try I guess..Why arent we going hard after starting pitching? Our 4 and 5 is a mess right now.. Were going nowhere with Marshall/Whoever and Marquis..Thats jsut terrible right there
