    None of these situations are comparable to Sosa. That being said, its not a stretch to believe Sosa wouldn't want to come back for the playoff chase. Just start him in RF against all lefties and enough righting to keep him happy, and bingo.

    I guess now we have a catcher that could be a decent hitter and get on base, although its not a sure thing with the year he is having. Losing Bowen and Blevins is nothing too.

    Actually, Aramis and Soriano have been. Its at D Lees feet. Having a guy who hits for a high average isnt bad if its a 2nd baseman but for a 1B playing in Wrigley Field...? Floyd and/or Jones need to start hitting for power as well.

    Eh, 4.5 GB is fine. Our power hitters really have to start jacking some though.

    Why not swap Murton for Nady? Murton will be the overall better hitter but Nady will probably have more pop. Nady is an excellent RF with a cannon, while Murton is an average outfielder with a decent arm, who is more suited to LF. Since Soriano is going to be there for, well, the next 7 years, Murton looks like he has no position on the Cubs at the moment. Murton/Marshall and filler for Nady would be cool with me.
