  1. This is so wrong on so many levels, its best to just lock now. Not even the biggest pessimist in the history of the world could bealive that scenario.
  2. He might be back for the Sox series this week. Figures.
  3. The Mavs didnt get screwed, Josh Howard blew it. Artest on Wade would sure be nice now. &)^)&%*%5rt!!!
  4. You guys are so funny. If Prior can just get his velocity back he will be fine. Then he has to work on staying healthy, arm strength, ect. He wont be another Wood, the old Prior will return.
  5. ugh i bet his velocity will never rise.
  6. http://mlb.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/116595.jpg will own http://mlb.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/445156.jpg GO NATIVE AMERICANS!
  7. I couldn't watch the game, so I'm wondering how he looked. I know he gave up 7 runs or whatever, but does it look like he could be back to regular ol Mark soon?
  8. Ron and Pat did too. I'm expecting him to go out and throw 110 MPH the way they were hyping him up Expect 95 to 98 heat from Verlander. And a wicked curve.
  9. whereas last year he used him like 22 games in a row Dude, this year we got Bobby and Scott for one reason, man. To pitch every game. If I don't use them every game, people will wonder why we signed relief pitchers to such huge contracts, dude.
  10. They fully acknowledge this in the article ... :?:
  11. I want a Novoa T shirt jersey so bad.
  12. Your comfort level isn't important to the Cubs. Not to sound mean, but I don't think Hendry goes around claims that he needs MPrior--a Cubs fan on the MB---to be comfortable with the decision on KW. My guess is, if they are going to make the move, somehow your "comfort" level won't be a part of the decision. Your really could have saved this. It's pretty unnecessary. I don't think the Cubs are consulting you for your opinion on the matter, either, but that didn't stop you from expressing it, did it? Yeah, that was totally unnecessary. As for Wood, at this point I am in favor of putting him in a position too earn as much of his salary as possible. IMO, that is in the rotation. With Howry, Eyre, Dempster and Williamson at the back end of the pen, Woody's presence would be almost superfluous. The only real impact he can make at this point is as a starter. He's sure made quite the impact there the past 2 years ... :x
  13. How dare you. What? What did I do? BAD NOVOA? Terrible would be David AAArdsama.
  14. People who need an excuse not to like him, and have no other proof besides the (unfortunatley) accepted myth that he is a poor defender. Walker is a poor defender, that's no myth. He's a poor defender if you compare him to guys like Castillo/Hudson/Igauchi/, but with other 2B, Walker a mere average defender. He does the job at 2b, IMO, and that is all that counts. No, he's pretty easily below average. By all accounts, I love having him on the team, and his bat more than makes up for any defensive shortcomings, but let's not fight hyperbole with hyperbole. Walker's decidedly below average as a defender. How is he "decidedly" below average? poor range and stone hands typically will do that to you. Stone hands?
  15. How dare you.
  16. Patterson was a young hitter with loads of talent that was never harnessed properly. Pierre is a player with a (bad) established way of hitting where as Corey was young enough to modify his approach. Both broke into the big leagues the same year, and Pierre is 2 years older. I don't see much of a difference. Pierre's swing is atrocious. There's no way to fix something so fundamentally screwed up. He'd have to forget everything he knows and start from scratch, and he's way too old for that. Thats ridiculous. If his swing was so bad, he wouldnt have a career .305 batting average going into this season. It's a combo of aging and a bad eye that has pierre in such a bad hole.

  18. If the Cubs trade Novoa it better be for Jason Giambi.
  19. Are you )&)(*&_(_(_&(^_*&^ing kidding me? MARSHALL is starting on Tuesday... Yeah, it's Wednesday!! Why don't the Cubs understand that Rusch is the type of guy that ruins any momentum you have. He is a winning streak killer!! I don't know. I just can't figure it out. CUBS are 2-5 when Rusch starts CUBS are 0-2 when Williams starts CUBS are 0-4 when Guzman starts CUBS are 0-4 when Hill starts CUBS are 0-1 when Ryu starts 2-16. LMFAO
  20. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_430604.jpg There is only one Roberto Novoa, and he plays for our Cubs. Some thought we got nothing out of the Farnsuck trade, but in reality, we got a beast. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/action/ph_430604.jpg (as you can see, roberto is a monster) http://www.thebaseballcube.com/images/cards/6451.jpg It's pretty safe to say Roberto looks alot better in CUBBIE BLUE! Who's with me?
