  1. quit yer crying. There's not weeping in METAL. \m/ \m/ btw, I voted CSNY
  2. For who? The Astros. There going to cut into their second best hitters playing time for a streaky Huff and in the process traded away two solid prospects for a rental.
  3. Why is Iron Maiden a 10? Anyways, gotta go Maiden of course.
  4. They traded Ben Zobrist? Morons.
  5. I hate to say this, but I see Jason Schmidt going to the Mets. Sabean has a recent history of STUPID trades (AJP for Nathan/Bonser/Liriano, Williams/Aardsma for Hawkins, and Hawkins for Kline), and I could see Sabean trading Schmidt for Bannister (or Heilman) and Fernando Martinez, BASED on his recent history. I am saying based on Sabean's RECENT history, not what the Giants. My guess is...Sabean will NOT get enough for Schmidt, if he trades. You are never going to get enough in return if you trade somebody who will be a Free Agent at the end of the year. If Schmidt had another year left on the contract, then you could get more in return. But nobody is going to overpay to rent somebody for three months. If an extension is reached, that would change everything. Victor Zambrano for Scott Kazmir.
  6. They got left out
  7. ugh people ugh How is DL this low anyway. Rush should go deep into this tourney, and DL should not be a 12. EDIT - dont mean to complain. still an awsome tourney.
  8. Who's in it this year? Miguel Cabrera, David Wright, Lance Berkman, Ryan Howard, Miguel Tejada, Troy Glaus, Jermaine Dye, David Ortiz.
  9. Will their be a game thread for the Home Run Derby tonight? If so LEMME OPEN IT
  10. Not a big fan of punk?
  11. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA wish i was watching that game!
  12. Rush baby. It's a shame there probably going to lose.
  13. Two things baffle me: Glendon Rusch on that list (though his last start will really help Hendry), and Neifi NOT on that list... But Walker is a great piece for a playoff contender; I can see the Mets being very interested, for one. And I'd be interested to see what Theriot can do in the bigs... (although the departure of Walker will probably just mean an everyday slot for Neifi... d'oh!) As somebody who watches alot of Mets games, i dont see them being interested. Valentine has been playing good at second for them.
  14. Obviously, but it becomes a matter of resources. While Cedeno isn't going to remind anyone of Ernie Banks, he does have a place as a cost effective solution with potential for improvement. Sure we could go and trade for Tejada, but wouldn't it be better to focus those efforts towards a position where such an option isn't available in our system(aka corner OF)? Also, moving Cedeno to 2B wouldn't be a very good solution. His strengths(fielding) have less of an impact, and his weaknesses(offense) are at a position where more is expected of that trait. I'm still a big fan of Murton. He should be the everyday LF. CF and SS/2B are the positions I look for big bats at. I'm looking at Abreu/Tejada.
  15. I think people aren't realising that I'm not trashing Cedeno. He is our best current option at SS, yes. But are there better options out there? I think so. His play right now is pretty brutal.
  16. I think you ment Radiohead, but yeah. Totally agree. I don't see the appeal in Radiohead.
  17. Markakis is the best position prospect the Orioles have had in years. You're trashing Cedeno and he'd clearly be a step down from Tejada. Prior hasn't put together a non-freak injury season since 2003. Dempster is good, but not nearly good enough to tie together that package. Again, why the heck would the Orioles do that trade? Prior is still Mark Prior. His upside is still huge. Under Mazzone, he could flourish. I didnt trash Cedeno, his current line is just brutal. Dempster gives them a good set up man to go with Ray. Its a deal they could consider. How is Markakis their best position prospect in years? He's got good patience but its not like hes a cant miss guy. If anything that only speaks to how bad the O's farm is. Not saying the deal could happen, just a suggestion.
  18. Tough draw for Rage.
  19. As much as critics may love radiohead i cannot stand listening to it. It is just painful to listen to. Your a smart man. I do like the song Paranoid Android ... sometimes.
  20. This year should prove to Cubs fans the folly of relying so heavily on pitching prospects who are good, but not can't miss ace guys. A lot of these guys have shown flashes and potential, but none of them have been ready to step up and contribute positively and consistently. As things stand right now, Prior and Zambrano are the only guys guaranteed to be in the rotation next season. I can't see this team re-signing Wood for the rotation, nor do I think Maddux will return. Lord help us all if Glendon is given another shot. That leaves three spots open. If Prior is traded, there will be four spots to fill. I don't think it would be wise to come into the season with at least two spots filled by rookie/young pitchers who are either unproven commodities (Gallagher, Wells) or who have only shown flashes at this point (Hill, Marshall, Marmol). That's a really dangerous proposition. This is why Jason Schmidt is a MUST for the Cubs this offseason.
