Hill has no chance of sniffing the rotation this year with Prior, Z, Maddux, a returning Wood/Miller, Marshall, Guzman, and Marmol all ahead of him on the depth charts.
I pretty much agree. I am not going to work myself into a lather over this anymore. It was a good sign that Prior that was in low 90s all night, and topped out at 96 (I think), only b/c it increases his trade value. That's really all I care about at this point....and what the Bulls do on Wed. night. Trading Prior would be downright silly.
Yikes that sounds serious. Also, Womack left the game with back spasms. Looks like Dusty might not have to move any of the 25 man roster when DLee and Williamson come back. 13 pitchers? AAArdvark down, Theriot up?
You guys probably haven't seen Weaver pitch if you dont think hes worth freaking Ram. The money saved on Ram would be open up another 10M or so to spend on offense. Weaver would be controlled by the club for alot longer than Ram will be. Weaver will be more valuable player for years to come than Ram will be. We will need one less pitcher for next year, so it increases ourchances of getting good players in a trade rather than theweak FA market. The reasons to do this trade are numerous.
