I just assumed the attendance was good/stable for the DJaxx. But when you look at the difference in attendance numbers between W.Tenn and E. Tenn coupled with the tone of the article it just makes it seem as if this move is inevitable. -

The Cubs would never sign Padilla....I don't think. Not that I want him as a Cub, but it would make the Cubs/White Sox series even more heated. -
Isn't Pierre a free agent? So wouldn't they have to get rid of him before the trading deadline in order to trade him? When I said get rid of him this winter, I meant let him walk. Gotcha.

Because like you said Nevin drives in runs and he is the best chance to win AT the moment. right now wins are important to one person more than anyone else......Dusty. He does not want to be fired. No one does. If wins can save his job then he do what he thinks will get the wins. The future dosesn't matter to Dusty. He needs to worry about the present. If he can save his job, he can then leave on his own accord if thats what he wants or continue coaching the Cubs next season and then worry about grooming Murton(assuming he is still a Cub) whether it is as a platoon or starter.

I would think Tony Gwynn probably did it sometime in his career considering the Padres had some bad teams.
