  1. One run. That's it Cubs 1-2-3 in the fif.
  2. Grrr, this Gameday business is frustrating. Update!!!
  3. The way Miller has been pitching... if he can keep it up, I'd rather see Marquis traded to the Reds for Marge Schott's dog.
  4. Check out the Great American Dream Vote thread in Social... link Aww, no love for the non-premiums.
  5. They are, according to Gameday. On my Gameday it states that they are unearned.
  6. That thing is notoriously slow. Even during the regular season it is 10-15 minutes behind the game with inconsistent updating.
  7. I'm pretty sure it's been established that Guzman, not Cherry, will be on the 25-man when camp breaks, unless there's some news that I am not privy to.
  8. Good god, just get this deal done! This whole situation is making me very nervous.
  9. Just give us (and yourself) some progress Mark! Also looking for Fonzarelli to break out of his mini-slump.
  10. Hah, yeah. I seriously wouldn't be surprised if the next headline I read involving Urbina went something like this: "ARMED BANDITS BREAK URBINA OUT OF PRISON: Signed as set-up man for White Sox."
  11. When Urbina faced Sammy in game 1, I told the 40 half Cubs fans/half Marlins fans watching the game with me that if Urbina didn't throw an inner half fastball, Sammy would strike out. The first inner half fastball he threw would be deposited on Waveland. Sure enough, 3 pitches later it became reality :D That was a sweet HR. I just vaguely remember later in the series when they got back to Wrigley, Urbina finished an inning and gave a death stare to whoever it was he had just gotten out. He seemed a little mentally unstable. Seems his last few years in Venezuela haven't been to good for him. Gun charges, mother being kidnapped, then this. I wonder if the sentence will stick?
  12. He sure did 'murder' the Cubs offense in the NLCS in '03.
  13. Don't know if this was already posted, but from the Tribune today, So there you have it. Guzman is in.
  14. Even if it doesn't work out in the end, man was this one heck of an effort. 3 more votes, from newly created gmails.
  15. What a difference this guy has made. .377 Team OBP so far this Spring, good for 2nd in the NL, 4th in the ML... ... and we have Gerald Perry to thank. Make it official!
  16. I declare this baby the official baby of the Cubs 2007 season! In all seriousness, Congratulations!
  17. Granted, Theriot probably outplayed himself a little last year, but still, in 134 AB's last season for the Cubbies, he had 17 XBH's, to Eckstein's 21 XBH's... in 500 AB's. I think that suggest far better upside than 'Eckstein-like' production. As far as plate discipline goes, Eckstein doesn't have it. 31 walks in 500 AB's to Theriot's 17 in 134.
  18. If by Eckstein-like, you mean 'way better than Eckstein', I can agree with that statement. David Eckstein is one of the most overrated players in baseball. The stats paint this picture well, I do believe. But boy, he sure is gritty!
  19. I hope you're quoting something assinine that the royals broadcasters said, cause that is the worst insult you could ever level on Theriot. I hate that guy (Eckstein).
  20. ::rubs temple:: I see the Cubs scoring lots of runs. Lots.
  21. Locked up in the sense that he has it for now, at least the first 4-6 times through the rotation. Not to correct you, just to clarify.
