  1. You speak as if Z has the attention span to read a book. or intelligence. what makes you think Z is stupid? Referring to yourself in the third person, while not a 'slam-dunk', is a good indicator. Sean knows. i disagree. i could see the argument that it's an indicator of self-absorption, but I don't get the link between that and intelligence. Especially with an ESL person, who probably derives much of his public speaking methodology (and command of language in general) by mimicry. Yeah, I was kidding.

  3. yeah, nice in hindsight, but in the off season, keeping hamilton and shipping murton would have been insanity not sure why i responded to this guy. i'm 99% sure he's been banned Let's hope anyway.
  4. 5 GAMES! Season over.
  5. More like, WCI-Boo! hahahah ha ha... eh. Go Cubs.
  6. So he could make the Majors with a 90 mph fastball.
  7. i laughed. That's funny precisely because I've heard 0 rumors of the Cubs moving to Vegas. Different planets?
  8. I say we'll know by 5:00 pm on June 6th which of these teams is better. Maybe.
  9. You speak as if Z has the attention span to read a book. or intelligence. Yeah, Z's to busy bench-pressing Ward to read any books.
  10. It all just blurs together man. Under Dusty, pretty much every win seemed like it came off the heels of a losing streak.

  12. This team is better than mediocre. co-sign My heart co-sign's, my brain is cautiously optimistic. Let's hope they have what it takes.
  13. dropping down can be effective if it's not done with much consistency. i've seen z use it to his advantage before. I agree for the most part. It's something that Jeff Weaver, when successful, is able to do effectively. For Zambrano, I think it's mostly a matter of being lazy. I mean, if the guy can notice that he's throwing out of the wrong slot and correct it just by adjusting mentally, you gotta think that the only reason it's happening is he's just letting his arm take the path of least resistance. That's my hypothesis anyhow. good one  I saw it happen. Once. v.s. the one and only, Chicago Cubs.
  14. I think it just means that we're abusing our pitchers less than any other team in the NL. I bet after 27 games last year under Dusty, the team had like TWICE the IP. Is the stat for just starters or for all pitchers?
  15. Lets go infant godless killing machines!

  17. I'll be happy with whatever Marquis does from here on out. That's just the kind of guy I am. Actually, an ERA under 4.00 at the end of the season would make me very happy, as I'm sure it will you all, and most Chicago Cubs.
  18. Hitting mistakes for homeruns? Jesus, seriously? Is there anybody in the league other than Albert Pujols or Barry Bonds who can hit pitches placed where they were intended for home runs? Get real. Homeruns are by and large, a product of strong hitters being able to take advantage of poorly placed pitches.
  19. Brian Anderson? I would do it I wouldn't. Our problem is too many outfielders. Trading one for another would be kind of pointless. We need some infield help off the bench so we can get rid of the black hole that is Iz-deno.
  20. If there is one way to ensure that something will not happen, I'm convinced it's by starting a thread on NSBB saying that it will happen. Convinced.
  21. Yeah, May 18, 5 IP, 4 Runs/all earned, 0 BB's, 6 k's, 3 dingers. Didn't he tease us in the first inning by striking out the side or something? Almost. Sort of. Soriano K'd in four pitches Anderson grounded out on the first pitch Nick Johnson K'd in three pitches
  22. Rome looks pretty huh-larious without facial hair.
