  1. I've been wanting to mention that. It's not as annoying if he's hitting, but when he sucks, it really grates on my nerves.
  2. Bruce, on behalf of all of the fans, please ask Lou why he continues to go to Marmol anytime a reliever shows any signs of not having their best stuff (even if that's just a hit and a BB w/a 6 run lead). He has to look at the big picture here.
  3. Wow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1tiCPRrz3o
  4. I'll start with: The Cubs won a really exciting game. Yes, they did. But, that doesn't mean that Lou didn't make several more dumb decisions.
  5. Where to start with today's game? Most notably, letting Z hit with the bases loaded and down 1 run in the 7th. Our favorite senile manager then decided to burn Hoffpauir and Cedeno with 2 outs and no one on in the 9th.
  6. How many awful decisions can Lou make in one game? He's lost it.
  7. Yeah, Lou is as much of an overmanager as there is. With the team we have, just let them play.
  8. Lou doesn't care one bit about Marmol's arm. :(
  9. I love Marmol. He's the best relief pitcher in baseball and those saying that these are the situations that he should be used in are correct. But, you have to factor in the notion that Lou can't get through a close game without going to Marmol at some point. At some point, that's going to take a toll. It hasn't yet, but history shows us that it will happen (assuming Lou continues to use him 4-5 X/week).
  10. The only thing that Lou has going for him is that he somewhat values OBP. Otherwise, he is really just as bad as Dusty.
  11. Yeah, I'm hoping Dempster doesn't have the same fate. I don't know why Hart or Cotts couldn't have finished last night's game.
  12. Does Eric Patterson have a hit in the big leagues yet? Seriously...
  13. I say continue. This thread is awesome!
  14. Im watching the game and have about as good as idea as you as to what the hell is going on in this game. LOL, I can't wait to get home and check this one out on the DVR.
  15. Would someone be kind enough to provide PBP for those of us at work that are too impatient for gametracker?
  16. Hey, another person that makes sense. You sure you don't want to criticize him for 14 big league AB's or his last name? It's what everyone else is doing. Or, ya know, it could be due to the fact that he's not an outfielder and he is now the 5th middle infielder on the roster. Could that possibly be it? By that logic, Hoffpauir isn't an outfielder either. Fair enough. Now I'm not one of those who are simply saying he sucks, I just think we have better options to put out in LF. That's all.

  18. I assume B&W? Awful. Is it at least in HD?
  19. Hopefully he gives Soto a day off as well. I like the idea of rotating the DH to get the regulars a day of pseudo rest while keeping their bats in the lineup.
  20. So, naturally, the best thing to do is throw him in LF in Chicago!! :banghead: :banghead:
  21. It seems so freaking obvious. Yet, the guys in charge never seem to get these decisions right.
  22. Me. He's not very good. That's my feeling as well. I just keep thinking that I'm missing something.
