  1. Agreed, I find nothing wrong with anything Lincecum did on Tuesday. He's a young guy who was just blowing away the Cubs hitters...it's ok to show some emotion.
  2. overreaction much? No kidding. He gave up 2 runs. It happens. But an ace doesnt walk the opposing teams pitcher, and consistently have games of 4+ walks. Consistently is an understatement. It feels like Z walks something like 6 or 7 batters every.single.game.
  3. I'm getting really tired of watching this offense.
  4. No Bonds makes me happy. If Z can keep Roberts off the bases, he should have little trouble with the Giants today.
  5. You would think that, no matter what the Cubs do with Prior, he would re willing to take a low deal to sign with them. Considering how much he has been paid the last few years with very little production, he almost owes it to the franchise. Just my opinion.
  6. JFC, can we at least make him work a LITTLE BIT? Floyd continues to swing at the first pitch. God, I hate having him in the lineup.
  7. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like Lee has lost a step or two this year.
  8. Man, this just shows how bad losing 3 in a row to the Astros was. They are a really bad team.
  9. This team just doesn't have the offense to compete.
  10. Shame on Lou. Wood should have pitched in this game. You have to be able to trust him with a 4 game lead. And games like today (Lilly goes 7+, decent size lead) are perfect opportunities to give Marmol a day off.
  11. Is it just me, or is ARam slumping?
  12. Yeah, I'm afraid that is the game. Our offense is putrid somedays, and today looks like one of them. :(
  13. El Duque is like 130 years old. It'd be nice if we could get something going off him...
  14. The big key for Z will be keeping Reyes off base.
  15. That Mets lineup looks a lot less intimidating without Beltran.
  16. Where has the entire team's power gone? I've never seen such a prolonged power outage from a group of players that are usually pretty reliable home run hitters. Oh well, as long as we keep winning.
  17. That really sucks to have 5 guys reach safely and only get one run out of it. :( Hopefully Marshall settles in.
  18. On the lead-out for that segment, he specifically even said 5 games up. I doubt it, but it would be nice to head into September in first place, let alone 5 games up. with the way we're playing, with the way milwaukee is playing, and with our schedule, i could see it happening. You figure that NY is going to close the gap on Boston somewhat, and the NL East and West are two good divisions that will change division leads all of this stretch run, as will the AL Central, and AL West. Our's is the only division where I think that beside Boston where we can run away with it. I believe Ravech was referring to NL division leaders. I'd still take that. Being able to rest some of the regulars down the stretch would be very beneficial.
  19. I can't wait to see the Cubs in HD tonight. Hopefully the ESPN feed isn't blacked out.
  20. I just re-watched it. Soriano was no where NEAR home plate. You can't even see him on any replays. They showed several angles and Soriano wasn't within 40 feet of home plate. Sad.
  21. This team is back to being completely frustrating to watch. No hitting and absolutely ZERO power. Soriano, Marquis, and Hill may be the 3 most frustrating players in baseball. If Hendry doesn't make a deal or two, we have very little chance.
  22. I just want to reiterate that I really hate Jason Marquis. Does anyone really trust him to start a playoff game? The guy is a mental midget. He just loses it at around the 5th or 6th inning of nearly every ballgame he starts.
