    Thats pretty much the most rude thing I've heard come out of a ex-teammate's mouth. Thats pretty darn harsh right there. Marquis does suck, though. BTW, I love that Marquis is getting a ring even though he didn't make their playoff roster. I don't know why I'm cool with Frank Thomas getting one when he wasn't on the playoff roster in 2005 and not Marquis getting one. Maybe because Thomas is a future Hall of Famer and Marquis is a future "Among worst ever"

    Alright. I've made my decision. I'm prepared to attack Cliff Floyd's knees with a wrench. If I have to force the Cubs management's hands, I will. Floyd will collect all this nice insurance stuff, and I'll spend a couple months in jail. Maybe I can watch the Cubs World Series between bars. EDIT: Complete joke if you can't tell.

    Cubs pythag has them at 10-7 record, and yet they are 7-10 right now. We always manage to outplay out Pythagorean record...just not in the best way.

    Incidentally I just picked up Josh Hamilton, so expect him to start sucking immediately. I went with a cheap sabermetrician's dream outfield of Pat Burrell- Swisher-Dunn, and ended up HORRIBLY with all of them. (My infield and pitching is quite good)

    5 run lead. Let the guy get his confidence back by, hopefully, having a good inning. He came in before when we had 5 runs at the beginning of the inning...

    I came in late... It appears the Cubs are primed to actually win a game...this can't be.

    I quietly said to myself as the Heat came within 1 point in the closing minutes: "If the Bulls manage to lose this with a 9 point lead and 2:30 remaining I will not watch any more Bulls games teh rest of this postseason) Luckily, (for them?) they didn't blow it. Also that 3 play sequence where Tyrus Thomas blocked 2 shots and then dunked a ball was incredible.

    C'mon Bulls, exert dominance on your own court. Not an awful first quarter, but I hoped to have the lead at the end of it. Don't let Wade run around you so easily, and don't give up all those easy dunks. If Walker is just gonna keep shooting 3's, thats fine, let him do it.

    Adam Dunn hasn't hit a homer in a while. In fact he's been hurting my fantasy team pretty badly.

    I don't think "figuring" out a hitter is as simple as you make it seem. He pretty much can control the entire strike zone and has absurd power over certain portions of the plate. No matter how "figured" out he is, a pitcher has to be pretty perfect with his spots to get him out. The problem is cleary with Pujols himself.

    Yep. What's amazing to me is that every single Cubs team since 1987 has been horrible fundamentally, can't take a walk, can't run the bases, the pitchers walk too many hitters, defense is shaky. It doesn't matter the personnel or the roster, the Cubs have forever played bad baseball. Almost exactly like Chicago Bears football, except replace hitting with "offense, or any sort of ability to pass the ball" , and lack of fundamentals.

    If I was Ted Lilly I was curse the day I decided to sign with the Cubs. These guys actually make an effort to not score for him.

    Hype is what hype is. When someone is absolutely dominant for an extended period of time, they'll get attention. If its June and Hill is still in the Cy Young race, he'll be getting attention.
