  1. Kellen Davis just throws a paw up in the air, come on dude
  2. Offense with good field position, pretty much NEED a score
  3. a nice series for the defense!
  4. Which coaches on the market are that?
  5. Never seem to get swing passes to work in a rhythm
  6. Wow. I really hate Cutler body language criticism because its 100% dumb crap but have you ever seen Cutler look more defeated then when he called a time out right there? What the heck
  7. I almost wish we could have just given them the TD from the pick, at least we'd save some time and Henry Melton's body
  8. D-Line looks like its getting completely pushed around
  9. Hey Alshon Jeffery its probably not a good idea to fall down on the first pass sent your way in months
  10. This game is over. Well I guess we're not making the playoffs this year? Thats a shame
  11. What the heck happened I turned my head away for a minute really? Really!?
  12. This is very surprising to me until I realized Bennett is out and Hester is still terrible, so I guess you gotta go with what you got. My friend who lived in Ohio for a time called these non-primetime games "Buffalo Wild Wings" days
  13. I'm aware of that, but it's silly.
  14. Why fire Lovie this year? You have to pay attention to whats happening in the league, plenty of heads will roll and who exactly do you have scouted out for the job? If you fire someone you have to have someone you know is better in line, waiting, and say what you will about Lovie but the Bears are very rarely worse than mediocre. In fact they've never been worse than 7-9 in any of his seasons except for his first. Considering so many other teams are going to fire their coach this year, there'll be slim pickings on good coaches available. What are the complaints about Lovie really about? I'll grant that he's had a part to play in talent evaluation, but the onus of those failure over the years lies squarely on Angelo. His defenses have been great pretty much universally, and that's why you got him - in fact this year is even more impressive since he's basically moved from the Cover -2 and done a crapload of really impressively ingenuitive things. Let him coach on the final year of his contract and see what happens. If you don't make the playoffs, ditch him, but I also keep on the top of my mind that Cutler and Marshall are both in their late 20s and this window is closing rapidly, they don't have time for a rebuilding period. That's not necessarily the most justifiable position to hold in some ways - but Lovie has been a solid coach who's had identifiable weaknesses for some time, and they can be overcome. I don't even really have a problem with Tice. Almost every problem for the Bears this year has been talent oriented. There have been very few times that I've been outright angry about a playcall (they happen, as they do for OCs everywhere), mostly the talent was so subpar that we merely couldn't execute. In fact I'll give Tice credit for ingenuity in using Marshall as basically our running game. The team has been able to move the ball surprisingly well with merely 1 receiver and not much else.

    NFL Week 13

It always makes me wonder what certain coaches and talent scouts see in NCAA prospects because I remember being nothing but unimpressed with McIlroy in college Not that being a 3rd string guy bouncing around for a while counts for a lot, but I'd like someone that at least looked good/ at running an offense at SOME point
  16. This is from the last page but I also think the Michael Bush signing was pretty good, he hasn't had a ton of opportunities, but he's a great complement to Forte, and in fact I'd say he's outplayed Forte thus far. His average isn't outstanding, but he's been in a good amount of short yardage and goaline situations that don't benefit you're P/C average, and from merely my subjective eye, he's been succesful in these situations. (In fact, the advanced stats bear this out- his success rate is 50%, which is better than Forte's 41% http://footballoutsiders.com/stats/rb ) I'm also not all that crushed by the Urlacher injury, though the drop off could still be dire if the other linebackers can't handle their new duties. We just need someone that can physically handle the job now. It'll be nice having Jeffery back.
  17. This is how unfortunate a day it was for the Bears: Their loss loses them the division lead, and if they had won they would have not only stayed in first but also got themselves in a spot for a bye week because the Niners also fortunately dropped a game. Now they're looking at a road playoff game at best. Amazing.
  18. Probably the worst part of this loss is that the Oline was stout in pass blocking (left something to be desired running the ball) and Cutler was phenomenal, Cutler did everything right, and if Bennett catches that ball it can be, and likely is, a completely different game. The offense was effective enough in my mind that when they came to punt the ball to the Seahawks 3 yard line I was shocked there were only 5 minutes left, the whole game felt very strange and short. The Seahawks put 450+ yards on the defense, and 170ish in 2 final drives that needed a stop ANYWHERE, and couldn't buy one. I dont want to lay all the blame on the Defense because 17 points is just not enough, but wow. Wow.
  19. Woops thought I heard it was more finalized than that. Are the Bears at a full 53 man roster now with the Gurode signing?
  20. Not that they are big deals, but I think the signing of Aaron Curry and Gurode are pretty shrewd deals. Glad to see our GM at least somewhat active and on the look out talent whenever he can (at least regarding Curry, Gurode is more of a desperation move) Really hope the Seahawks corners don't have their suspensions delayed, there doesn't seem to be any down side to making appeals even if blatantly guilty, wouldn't you automatically do this in every case to buy yourself a few games in the interim?

    NFL Week 11

And now the Giants blow a golden opportunity for another TD, you need to get all the offense you can get when you play the Packers, this could come back to haunt them
