I just tempered my own excitement by checking the Cards schedule and after 2 more games with the Reds they get 2 more series with Milwaukee, another series with the Reds and a series with Atlanta. (and of course a series with us and PIttsburgh mixed in) I mean if they continue in free-fall mode it wont matter but bleh, wish they a tougher schedule down the stretch. -

It is extremely pleasing to watch the Cards enter a tailspin, even if it's still a remote chance it means anything. Them going on an extremely poor stretch *can* happen. No reason not to entertain these notions, I mean otherwise the rest of the season is pretty dull. :D -

Rockies home/road splits are some of the most irrelevant, playing so much at altitude messes with your ability to recognize breaking pitches on the road where they move more. If the home park is not Coors but an extreme to one end or the other it can be a slight indicator, but generally it's noise. and also hasn't Wrigley played as an extreme pitchers park this season to this point? (Or at least it did last I checked, August may have changed things)
