  1. Hopefully Rondon isn't rusty after a week without throwing, lets do this
  2. Intentionally walking the dude with a sub .600 OPS is an interesting strategy
  3. Yeah, I wont second guess Maddon's management of the bullpen but I would have thought you'd want to work a few more guys in during the blowouts just so they're ready for situations like this. I'm like, a tiny bit worried about Rondon who hasn't pitched in ages.
  4. why do you keep acting like strop isn't great? It's just Strop vs the Cardinals, he blew like 2 games in absurdly dramatic fashion last year I mean its whatever though
  5. Travis Wood is not the guy I go to here
  6. Ayyyy just gotta deal with the finger biting i guess
  7. Do the position players ever feel ashamed when they can't get the job done and the pitcher one ups them at the plate somebody please for gods sake hit a ball with a dude on base
  8. Hahaha oh jeez I guess that's a nice crutch to have while many of our stalwarts are struggling
  9. I originally put Bryant on that list and then ninja edited it when I looked at Bryant's stats. He's been perfectly above average for a regular old MLB player, but he hasn't quite yet been Kris Bryant yet.
  10. Imagine what this team will look like when Rizzo, Zobrist, and Heyward *really* get going
  11. baseball should institute mandatory day games every day of the week to give me something to look at during the workday
  12. Honestly I think the STL lineup is pretty decent, its just annoying a 28 year old called up for the first time ever this year comes out the gate with 1.000 OPS....again. Their players aren't the blue chip studs our dudes are, and will be driven before us, and we will hear the lamentations of their women.
  13. I would think Warren and Wood would be ahead of Cahill as a spot starter but I dunno
  14. Baller start for Lackey. I do in fact love this team.
  15. I am mostly fine too other than it seems like even when he squares a ball up it doesn't go real far and his defense has just been kinda meh I am a little concerned that he doesn't quite have the power to carry the ball out anymore but even so, he'd be a valuable player.
  16. This offense feels like June-July 2015 Cubs which was always struggling to scratch runs across until things heated up after the All Star Break
  17. Yeah that was the thing for me, Bob and Len had a really good chemistry. Bob had terrible baseball opinions but they worked really well together.
