  1. i actually find it really not frustrating for that reason Completely unjustified in my own reasoning but I consider lead off doubles guaranteed runs even though they most assuredly are not But *squeezes fist so tightly veins pop* they should be
  2. Mostly its because they hit so [expletive] many of them but boy howdy is it frustrating to see lead off doubles stranded
  3. Is there anything particularly wrong with Montero that Lester can't deal with? Miguel receives and frames the ball very well, I thought it was more that Lester had come up to the big leagues and felt extra comfortable with Ross, and not that there was anything specifically wrong with Montero at all. But I may be wrong, I don't know. I certainly would be opposed to taking another 25 man roster spot to make Lester feel better if we didn't otherwise have to.
  4. Nick Ahmed...Jean Segura...even notoriously terrible hitter Billy Hamilton seems to always have a good game against us. (.311-.378-.492 against us) I find Hunter Pence and Jeff Francoeur absolutely hideous hitters. I hate how Hunter Pence looks, I hate his stupid goofy style, I hate how he still hits pretty well despite it. Jeff Francoeur is an abomination to baseball, he swings at everything, has a horrific grin on his face, and he beats us every [expletive] time we play him. These are my feelings.
  5. Why waste that power in the lead off spot? Lol
  6. Yeah let's not get out of control with Ross here. He's 39, and while obviously not totally cooked, we're really testing fate if we squeeze too much out of him. People really underestimate what we have in Montero, who is a top 5 pitch framer and an above average bat back there. He didn't look great early in the season while dealing with discomfort but he should be back to his usual production while healthy. I'm good with this duo this year and for waving Ross into the sunset after this year.
  7. The poor pirates have the misfortune of playing us like 16 times a year. I enjoy us pounding them quite a bit but I want to see an equal and consistent pounding of the Cardinals as well. 2015 was annoying in making us wait for that ;)
  8. Lol it's another run differential game
  9. Lol they had 3 hits in 8 innings and somehow they all occurred in the same inning? That's total [expletive] lmao
  10. So nice to have god mode Arrieta again
  11. I checked the score and was disappointed that it was 2-0 and then the screen refreshed and it was 3-2 lol
  12. might as well keep him there as he declines into being a .650 OPS player like his talent level suggests
  13. It seems like all he had left in his doughy body was those 3 IP in that Nationals game, and he's been bad before and after that
  14. John Jaso has the absolute worst hair of anyone on the planet
  15. i dont think this will get out of hand but i dont haaaate this because i'm playing Hammel in fantasy lol These will be my last words when the Pirates make the 8 run come back wont it
  16. Getting an out would be a good start friend
  17. Hammel, this is all vanity for you, if you want your numbers to improve, you can get them out, if you don't care then you know whatever
  18. my Pirates fan friend has said for some time that he's the worst starting outfielder for them and for some reason continues to play center (its like Derek Jeter syndrome)
  19. hahahahah the Party has come back Just endless jubilation for a whole summer
  20. Its ok, the real trick is that the Cubs can't play bad out of division teams Good teams though? Totally easy
