  1. oy vey i came to check the score and this looks like a real barnburner at least I like our bullpen against theirs
  2. I can't even clown on the rando meatballer who wanders into this thread to attack Heyward because....why bother? He's right, for the wrong reasons, he's right to be disappointed.
  3. I'll take Seal Boy over Zobrist the rest of the way, thank you very much
  4. Javy is probably gonna get 20 homers, good for him. Kinda silly to use Montgomery over 2 innings when you are up by like seven billion runs and you can use any random horsefeathers in the pen.
  5. jeez quintana having a rough time finding the zone
  6. It started so well for Quintana....and has gone off so poorly
  7. i can't stop laughing at the fact that paul goldschmidt just HAD to hit another homer. ok dude
  8. this at bat will decide whether or not Jason Heyward's OPS stays above or below .700 It is that momentous (lol)
  9. Bryant is 9 for 11 with 3 walks in this series holy moly
  10. Why does it look like his brain is trying desperately to escape from his skull?
  11. Hahaha, Schwarber is now OPSing .747 with a .195 batting average. He's trying to do all he can to be a valuable hitter while being under the Mendoza line. However a .747 OPS is only a 92 OPS+ this year, which shows you just how much the juiced ball has affected the run environment. Just 3-4 years ago, a 100 OPS+ was about .700. And 5-6 years before that a 100 OPS+ was damn near .800. The baseball run environment has changed violently over the past 10 years.
  12. I'm gonna meatball bc I want the amazeballs team from post all star break all the time
  13. fumbling a lead off triple always feels especially painful
  14. huh, didn't realize Matt Cain's decrepit corpse was still in the league
  15. I'm beginning to feel sorry for Matt Moore* *comment subject to change depending on our fortunes in this game
  16. C'mon Jason....add another page to the kinda sorta redemption story
  17. The good news is Rodney is really bad, the bad news is if he locks this down he'll shoot the arrow
  18. ARE YOU KIDDING ME It should be illegal to lose this game
  19. I think one of the reasons the first half was rough, other than the starting pitching, was that almost none of the young players got better, which we reasonably could have expected at least some of them would. They all either tread water or had a little slippage in production (or a nearly lost season for Schwarber, who has turned it around in a large way since the break).
