I haven't read this whole thread, so I might be repeating other things that have been said already... Our WR's are awful. With Hester out, we don't have a deep threat. None of our receivers could beat any of their corners all day, with the exception of the one slightly overthrown pass (to Lloyd was it?). Other than that, anytime Kyle threw deep, the corner was leading the WR. In fact, the one completed long pass to Lloyd was only because the ball was underthrown and it was easier to come back to the ball for Lloyd since he'd already been beaten by the corner. Olsen's first fumble was completely unacceptable. The second one hurt a lot more, but it was a really good punch out by Harris. WTF Turner? You run the ball 9 yards on the first Forte carry on that last drive, and then throw for 2 downs, including that pass to the flat that hadn't worked all freaking day long? Then when you do run, you use McKie? It wasn't like it was 4th and inches...it was 4th and a full yard, maybe yard and a half. Awful playcalling there. If Hester is out any length of time, that really hurts the WR core. Just the threat of Hester helps the other guys out there. What happened with Hester anyway? He got a little shove and he has bruised ribs? It looked like nothing. EDIT: I read now in David Haugh's article that 3rd and 1 was an Orton audible, and that it was called as a run. I guess Orton is the culprit there, not Turner. (Turner can still take the heat for the McKie run though.)
