    I know that most of you probably don't watch Glee, but last night, one of the lead characters (the QB of the HS football team) was talking about not wanting to call out one his O-lineman on his bullying of another kid, because "I'd get get sacked more than Jay Cutler."

    That's hyperbole, and so was Gee's comment. Ohio State and Boise State played the same number of top 25 teams this year. (Well, they will have after Friday.)

    I think the main reason is promos. First off, radio broadcasts suck since they spend a good 30% of the time presenting you the subway 3rd down of the game followed by a Meineke sack and a KMart punt. At the same time, TV broadcasters promote shows coming up on Fox/CBS, and that is why they pay so much money for the rights to the games. If it were to be done, the networks would demand that customers pay a huge fee for the right, to discourage widespread distribution and offset potential ad decreases. Yeah...like I said, there's a ton of reasons it won't happen. But I would so much rather hear Joniak than Sam Rosen or Joe Buck.

    Eastern Michigan and Marshall were really challenging games, I'm sure.

    My dream is for NFL Sunday ticket to offer each broadcast with the radio announcers call rather than the network sound. I realize that will never happen for a number of reasons, but it'd be great to have local announcers to listen to.

    Yep...report is that Frazier is the new coach. Wilf should've done this a few weeks ago rather than letting Childress dump Moss.

    No, grabbing the facemask now matter how light is a 5 yard penalty and automatic first down. Its 15 if you twist them. So either way it would have been a first down. No...there is no light penalty anymore. It's 15 or nothing. The 5 yard one has been gone for 2 years.

    Bears have historically done very well vs Vick. With extra rest, I think we'll be ready to go on Sunday.

    I forgot where I heard it, but the Marshall "taunt" was just some buddies having fun, and the refs saw it as something it wasn't. Apparently Cutler and Marshall were chumming it up before the game. They're friends. EDIT: Found quotes...

    Yeah, I just read that. Gene's always like that though. ESPN takes the worst two writers in Chicago (Woj and Rogers...I guess Sullivan could make a case) and lets them be the "Chicago" writers for the national site. Wonderful.

    My concern with Vick is that he's learned how to actually pass the ball pretty well since we last played him. I really don't know what to expect defensively from the Bears in this one.

    Meant to respond earlier but I definitely agree with you. Other than a couple of blown coverages (like last week with Harvin), the Bears secondary has actually been pretty solid, imo. Jennings has played far better than I ever expected.
