  1. I at least understand the concept. As a fan, the only real "vote" we have is by either spending money on a ticket or not spending it. Like you guys have said though, that doesn't tend to have any kind of positive effect on the product on the field. At best, it might make you feel like you're "doing" something, and not just tolerating failure. But it's not much more than that.
  2. It was probably Tommie Harris, or Aromashodu, or someone that has been "disciplined" in some way. Nobody can possibly want Hanie in there.
  3. McFadden has been good all year though. Not 40+ points good...and of course he won't repeat that...but he'll still be good. Time to cut Roy Williams I think...
  4. That league lets you pick up players on FA that soon? In mine all players are on waivers until Wednesday, just to prevent players from doing this kind of stuff. (Unless of course you have waiver priority.)
  5. Childress says that Favre is in a walking boot and has a stress fracture... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/10/25/childress-favre-in-walking-boot-has-stress-fracture/
  6. But it's something that's likely going to take years to fix.
  7. I'm clinging to the faint hope that the O-line is such an obvious POS that McCaskey's can see through Angelo's nonsense.
  8. Brad Biggs does a good job of trashing Angelo's lack of O-line draft choices...
  9. I got all "smart" and took him out of my starting lineup during halftime of the early games...*sigh*
  10. It was discussed in Lovie language...which is to say that he mentioned it, and said nothing all at once.
  11. But the BCS rankings were released last week. I'm saying they had Oregon listed as number 1 for it's game on Thursday. And then had Oklahoma listed as number 1 on Saturday. I'm fairly sure Oregon was listed as #2 on Thursday Well, I didn't take a screenshot, so I can't prove it.
  12. I have a hard time being logical about losses for a few days...so I admit, I'm probably overreacting. But still...
  13. Oops. Eh, Rivers was almost identical. Not playing McFadden was my real failure.
  14. But the BCS rankings were released last week. I'm saying they had Oregon listed as number 1 for it's game on Thursday. And then had Oklahoma listed as number 1 on Saturday.
  15. Gotta be honest. Today was the first time I really started wondering to myself if getting Cutler was the right move. I sure thought it was at the time, and I won't fault Angelo (for that), but if I had a time machine and could warn Angelo away from making the trade...this is the first time I think I'd actually consider it.
  16. so if Auburn does pass everyone this week and becomes #1 in the BCS poll, will ESPN use the AP rankings to frame their #1 team being beaten for the 4th straight week story? I've seen all channels do this just to use the highest ranking possible to promote the matchup. ESPN started doing that right when the BCS rankings came out. I don't think it's just to frame that No. 1 lost again because Oregon was listed as No. 2 on Thursday on their telecast. My guess is it has to do with ESPN being the ones who release the rankings now. I don't really care which rankings they use, but it just seemed suspicious to look at their scoreboard to see that Oregon won the other night, and then look on Saturday to see that "#1 Oklahoma" lost, with a headline something to the effect of "#1 goes down again". They just need to decide which ranking they're gonna use and stick with it. Eh...I guess they don't need to do anything. It doesn't really matter. I just was amused by the framing.
  17. An odd move? The Bears didn't want to hire Martz. Nobody but him wanted to be OC. Hell, they couldn't get a DC either, and Marinelli had to go from D-line to DC. It's not an ideal coaching staff because none of the top assistants wanted to come in and coach under a lame duck HC. It wasn't like they hired Martz cuz they thought he was the right man for the job.
  18. So yeah...I have Darren McFadden, but figured he'd be splitting time with Bush, so I didn't play him. Played Moreno instead.
  19. I find it hilarious that ESPN were using the AP rankings until Oregon won, and then yesterday they decided to use the BCS rankings instead, so now they are saying that #1 lost again.
  20. I really hope so. I want Oregon-Boise. That will be a really fun game to watch. I know this is a different Oregon team, but Boise has beaten them the past two years.
  21. The NBA is floating the idea of contraction... http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/14168647/nba-owners-float-contraction-along-with-huge-pay-cuts
  22. Dallas Clark put on IR.
  23. Apparently the "punter" hit that's being referenced in the drawing above was the Earl Bennett block of Jon Ryan in the Bears game...it was one of the "good hits" in the video.
