so if Auburn does pass everyone this week and becomes #1 in the BCS poll, will ESPN use the AP rankings to frame their #1 team being beaten for the 4th straight week story? I've seen all channels do this just to use the highest ranking possible to promote the matchup. ESPN started doing that right when the BCS rankings came out. I don't think it's just to frame that No. 1 lost again because Oregon was listed as No. 2 on Thursday on their telecast. My guess is it has to do with ESPN being the ones who release the rankings now. I don't really care which rankings they use, but it just seemed suspicious to look at their scoreboard to see that Oregon won the other night, and then look on Saturday to see that "#1 Oklahoma" lost, with a headline something to the effect of "#1 goes down again". They just need to decide which ranking they're gonna use and stick with it. Eh...I guess they don't need to do anything. It doesn't really matter. I just was amused by the framing.
