There's been a lot written on this board in the last few hours, but did I miss where someone was disappointed? I think if anything, we're disappointed that Soto didn't turn out to be the consistent offensive catcher we all hoped he'd become. But I think everyone understands this deal. -

Frankly, a lot of media types are really kind of dickish on twitter though. If you can find one that even comes close to him, I'd love to see it. Well right now scrolling back through my feed doesn't help much, because Goldstein won't shut the hell up. My problem is less with his attitude and more with the sheer volume of it. It'd be tolerable in smaller doses.

don't they say the waves crashing off the wall and bouncing back at you? That's also what I've heard. Apparently the waves are more choppy. You also can't see the rest of the field as well from the outside, though that might be more minor.

The men play their under 23 team in the Olympics, I think a few spots are open to older players who are on their way out of international soccer. There's speculation that this will be the direction the US goes in basketball after this Olympic team. The rules are: any U-23 player selected must be released by their club - a maximum of three players may be over 23, but their clubs are under no obligation to release them. Why do they have these rules for soccer? FIFA doesn't like competition for their World Cup; this is the agreement they and the IOC came up with to make the Olympic tournament more relevant and at the same time no threat to said WC. And yet women's soccer gets to have all the biggest names.

Oh come on...it's one play on the first day of pads...lol He's a speed guy. Some plays he's gonna make a move and get there, sometimes he's gonna get blown up.

Biggs says that McClellin looked good, played some at both end positions, and used a variety of moves...showing his speed. Said Evan Rodriguez continues to impress, that Marshall had a scare where he went down and had to test out his knee, but had some big vertical plays after that. And Alshon Jeffrey looked "OK".

WTF! First off, we drafted him to be a difference maker at defensive end, not to play special teams, and what is this nonsense about him not being in the rotation at DE? There's no redshirting here, if he can't be in the rotation right away, then you failed with the pick. You realize that the Bears use starters on special teams, right? I'm ok if they ease him in a bit slowly. I'd rather have him be successful long term than to be overwhelmed.

Call me crazy, but at this point, who would be talking about rumors from either side of this, after the Braves trade blew up from a leak? I really don't think there's gonna be any fore-knowledge of anything at this point. We'll hear about it when it's done.
