  1. Eh. I didn't like much of what he did. The punt return he had, he just needed to avoid the first guy (who was getting blocked into him) and he had a ton of room to run. Hester would have returned it 20+ yards easy, IMO. Holmes was also blocking on another play that I saw (so was Morgan). Believe it was 2nd or 3rd and long. I don't know what the Bears expect out of him return-wise other than to consistently catch the ball.
  2. Just because I want to say something positive, I did like a lot of what Santonio Holmes did. I know he was run blocking on the play where Cutler threw the pick, but for a guy that joined the team as late as he did, I thought he did pretty well. Good enough to fill a 3rd WR role, anyway...please be healthy Marshall/Jeffrey.
  3. Yeah, that was the highlight for me.
  4. So...I wonder if this would affect baseball? Would this affect blackouts based on region? Or just the "Not a sellout" blackouts? http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2014/09/09/wheeler-fcc-nfl-blackout-rule-obsolete-column/15300147/
  5. Bet he'd return to Chicago to play for the White Sox over the Cubs. Guy was a Sox fan growing up, and had multiple anti-Cubs messages on his MySpace around the time he was drafted (yes MySpace) Yeah. It's far enough away anyway to not really be all that meaningful of a quote.
  6. This question needs an answer.
  7. Lost a bet maybe? EDIT: Nope.
  8. I'm just glad we have the depth to be able to deal with it for the time being, but agreed...injuries are a concern anytime they happen.

  10. So that's not good. [expletive] The backups played well in this case. I'm not all that worried on this piece. How are you not at all worried that Slauson could be out for a while? He's definitely more worrisome than Garza, but Ola played well.
  11. Apparently the Jay Cutler show on ESPN 1000 is about to start....earlier this year.
  12. Yeah, that's from months ago.
  13. It's an opportunity to do what should have been done initially, say "oh, we didn't have all the info", when they really did. The NFL and the Ravens both know they screwed up the first time...they're trying to save face.
  14. Gotta think they'll try to void the contract, right?
  15. What's his cap hit? http://overthecap.com/player/ray-rice/1396
  16. So it's all the offense's fault.
  17. What is the deal with that? Are they going with fewer off days or just playing later into October? Get ready for a November World Series.
  18. @adamhode Here's the gap Briggs was supposed to be in: http://t.co/EGwzA7mYzJ @adamhoge Here's where he ended up: http://t.co/fXN0WhJLtA
  19. Seems to me that other than one bad beat, he was pretty good. Guess we'll see when the PFF scores come out.
  20. Um...not really all that boggling. He was hurt almost the entire preseason. I interpreted the statement as to why he had to settle for a back-up role instead of signing with a team where he would have been the starter. But, if he had stayed healthy, he probably would've been the starter, with Garza moved back to backup. That seemed to be the plan when he was signed.
