    I bet he got canned for being too meatbally for meatball TV and let him save face That'd be weird timing...since he was on the shows on Sunday. Although I guess it's weird timing to quit too.

    He's playing on Sunday. The Panthers said Hardy was playing too all week The Vikings just created a PR nightmare with that announcement yesterday. If they turn around now and say he's NOT playing...that'd actually be hilarious in a way. PR disaster for no reason at all.

    Well if we're gonna play the "penalties helped" game, it should be pointed out that he got at least one chunk of yardage taken away by a pretty sketchy challenge, too. And another on the penalty on forte stepping out of bounds. But ultimately, he took care of the ball, and the couple of risks he took, in my opinion, were pretty calculated, came at a time when the offense was stalling, and when he really only had one guy he could throw to consistently...Bennett. He had to try to make some things happen by forcing some pretty tough throws.

    I heard the statement and the first couple of questions and had to turn it off. Saying it's not their place to determine if it was disciplining a child or if it was abuse. Despicable.

    Said he was 100% mentally ready to play, but only like 20% physically, but figured if he could get them to make him a game time decision, he could take some meds, and get by on that and adrenaline. Sounded like he was hurting...but said nobody is 100% after week 1.

    It's often a gut response to someone's career ending, but Peanut strikes me as the kind of player who could make the jump to coaching pretty effectively. I expect him on Bears postgame.

    jw which ones you're taking issue with the only one that seemed off to me based on the eye test was allen but they probably know better than me Cutler, Bennett (maybe blocking issues?), and Allen. Had issues with last week too, but I'm not going back to look a that.
