  1. @mortreport: 2014-09-08 14:07:25 UTC NFL: Ray Rice video was not made available to them, despite requests to law enforcement. Nothing on whether NFL had account of what happened Buuuut....in July....
  2. They need to find a way to get Willie Young out there more. He was the one guy getting pressure. Ratliff was decent against the run. Those were the only noticeable guys on the D-line.
  3. San Francisco didn't do anything yesterday apart from what Tony Romo gifted them. I wasn't impressed. I'm not really panicking on the Bears, but really, the same thing could be said of the Bears....Buffalo didn't do anything yesterday other than what the Bears gifted them.

  5. Well, I'll back off my 12+ prediction...lol. But I'm not all doom and gloom.
  6. Sickles' Cubs Top 20 2014 PRE-SEASON Prospects in Review http://www.minorleagueball.com/2014/9/5/6076877/chicago-cubs-top-20-2014-pre-season-prospects-in-review This list was originally published January 8, 2014.
  7. Yeah, I agree. Injuries are my biggest concern.
  8. SuperGIRL. jeez, man. http://giant.gfycat.com/ExaltedFocusedFairybluebird.gif
  9. Conte and Mundy starting safeties.
  10. I'm sure they signed Kyle Orton to a 2 year $11million deal because they were so confident in Manuel. They were so confident, they didn't make him a team captain. Manuel is bad, and it's not just a "perception on this board". He had a crummy preseason (yes, I know...preseason), and most people seem to think it's a matter of time before Orton is handed the job. Really? I'm not questioning you but I'm surprised Buffalo wouldn't give Manuel this entire season to sort things out. The moment they put Orton in, Buffalo accepts being losers for a good long time. Ok, I'm overstating it with "most people". But I've certainly heard it said by a number of "experts", for what that's worth.

  12. Per Schefter it's sprained MCL, not torn, and he shouldn't miss much time. Not considered serious.
  13. Bears fans might be especially sensitive to it too, because it's not just the national media that does it. The Chicago sports media loves to hate it's own players.
  14. Just shows how far ahead of the NFC Seattle (and maybe San Francisco) are currently. Slow down on San Fran.
  15. The play where he rolled right and threw back left to the endzone...and it was nearly picked off. Collinsworth gushed about his arm strength...I know that NOLA doesn't like to hear it, but man...if that'd been Cutler... announcers don't credit Cutler for his arm strength? Sure, but the emphasis would've been on the poor decision. It would've been negatively spun for Cutler...it was positively spun for Rodgers. It would've been "nearly a pick" for Cutler. For Rodgers it wasn't mentioned.

  20. Yes, they own the place. That doesn't mean they're entitled to landmark related federal tax credits. Nothing unreasonable about this. And Soldier Field lost landmark status after the renovations, so you could say there was. Yeah, this is much more palatable than any of the rooftop/city garbage.
  21. The other thing about Rodgers, is he makes terrible commercials. That Hanz and Franz commercial was terrible. But it totally would've worked with Peyton Manning in there. Speaking of Manning: "Chicken Parm you taste so good."
  22. So is Rodgers. On that drive he's jaw boning with the refs on a holding call he never saw because he was running the other way. He's nearly on Rivers' level and never ever gets called on it. And how about Rodgers ripping his rookie center to shreds? Imagine if that were Jay. the key difference here is that Jay Cutler is an anti-vaxxer, and is thusly a terrible, stupid human being who deserves every bit of scorn he receives I choose to believe that Jay is getting his kids vaccinated behind Kristen's back.
  23. I don't see that last sentence as necessarily a bad thing. What does Sean Payton know about defense? But he has a ring and a perennial contender. Yep. Pat Mannelly didn't view it as a bad thing either. Basically said that Lovie's problem was that he couldn't seem to get good offensive coaches in there. I guess if you really don't like Tucker, you could draw a parallel there, but honestly...I'd rather be strong offense and weak defense than vice versa in this league right now. It's not either/or. All I ever wanted was good offense. I can see taking a hit on D to get it, but total unmitigated collapse is a different story. We're talking in circles with this thing though. I'm going to kick a dog if Tucker doesn't do something this year. Everybody would like to have the #1 offense, #1 defense, and #1 ST...but that's not real realistic. Every team is going to have weaknesses, and while we're working on improving the defense, I'd much rather my team weakness be on that side of the ball.
  24. Lose more and you'll play easier teams.
