  1. Be careful of what you wish for... Meaning what?
  2. Carlos Bernard (AKA: Tony Almeda from 24) will be doing the 7th inning stretch today! :D Wish I'd taped the game for that....
  3. Probably Prior on Sunday. i'm just going by what Len and Bob said last night, as they said the decision on Prior wouldn't be made until after his side session on Friday The paper said his side session is Thursday, and they would make the decision on Friday, but that barring any setbacks, that he would pitch on Sunday. We'll just have to both say we're right. :)
  4. Ok, I'm not real quick on some of this corporate stuff...how would that assure the sale of the Cubs?
  5. Probably Prior on Sunday.
  6. Don't trip on your skirt. Enough. You've been here long enough to know better than to attack other posters.
  7. Hahaha...he thought Neifi was the best option offensively...hahahahahaha.
  8. Here it is...
  9. Walk off 3-run homer for Dunn. 8-[
  10. Someone is having fun with it...here's how it reads now...
  11. There's already a thread on this, but it was in baseball discussions. I moved it here to avoid further confusion (or cause it...one of the two). http://www.northsidebaseball.com/PremiumForum/viewtopic.php?t=32838 viewtopic.php?t=32838
  12. I cleared my cache, and apparently the word "poorly" has been removed. Boo.
  13. Correct. Wait, do they have cars in Idaho? There are a lot of course, but there is seriously a car dealership there, and it's a reasonable popular one, called "Fairly Reliable Bob's Used Cars".
  14. Bold added by me.
  15. What about Jeremy Bloom though...wasn't he in the US Skiing team? What's the difference between that and minor league ball? corporate sponsorship. Yep, I posted this in the Smardalasmardala thread in the draft forum: ok....so if he were to do a local car dealer ad in Boise or something, he'd be screwed.

  17. I did it not knowing what I would find to be honest. The Cubs have managed to keep me from watching a lot of baseball this year, so I haven't seen Dunn a lot this year. But I remember hearing similar things about D-Lee always hitting "meaningless" homers, but it was just those homers that people were remembering.
  18. I'm wondering the same thing. That's kinda nuts. But then so is the NCAA. This is not all that uncommon. For example, Ricky Williams played minor league ball during the summer while at Texas. Playing pro baseball doesn't impact a guy's NCAA eligibility for any sport other than baseball. But does it make sense that they would be restricted from making money is so many other ways, but not this way?

Wow....why don't you try to find a more meaningless statistic, because I bet you'd be hard pressed to do it. You used unqualified stats, which means that every pitcher that even threw an inning is in that list. EDIT: Since ESPN stats don't let me add a filter of minimum innings pitched other than "qualifying", I had to choose a different method. Sorting all of last years pitchers by innings pitched, and looking at the ERA of each of the ones that pitched 140 innings or more, (there 58 of those by the way) only 13 of them had worse ERA's than Glendon. That's not average.
  20. I'm wondering the same thing. That's kinda nuts. But then so is the NCAA. maybe they figured that since he's at Notre Dame, $8 million would actually be a pay cut Bah dum ching!
  21. To prove Bernie is Amish. After all, they are the only ones who share recipes, aren't they? That dog on the Bush's baked beans commercials is kind of a blabbermouth too...so he's either Amish, or a golden retriever.
  22. I'm wondering the same thing. That's kinda nuts. But then so is the NCAA.
  23. Many of us have just been burned to much. I need to be shown more.
