Is there a quick way to see if someone has had too many starts in a week? I think I'm counting MM with 11 starts this week (not that it matters, he pretty much kicked my ass anyway). It's just the live scoring doesn't really lend itself to figuring out how many starts a team has had.

I'd say dumb idea. Agreed. There's nothing more that AAA can do for Murton. He needs to work through things in the majors, if he can get the PT. -
I disagree. If Pujols performs like this the rest of the year (highly unlikely) than the Cardinals won't finish within sight of the top of the division. They have no other offense, their ace is banged up, and Looper will get figured out as the season continues. Our pythag has us just around .500. Just around .500 will be within sight of the division (probably). It won't win it, but it will be within sight. Fair enough.

I believe that Murton is a good player, but he really needs to take pitches. Enough with the first pitch swinging crap. more fun with stats: Murton is seeing 3.8 pitches per plate appearance compared to 3.7 last year. It seems bad right now because a few instances stick out, but for the most part he's being about as patient as normal. The issue is that he's not getting hits. Plus the aforementioned bad timing with his 1-pitch ABs. While that may be true, I think it's more of a situational thing. It seems like he's swinging at the first pitch when there's either RISP, or in the 9th and we're down by one and need baserunners...those kind of things. It could be false perception, but that's what I've been noticing. That said I still want him to get playing time because I think he's got a lot of potential. -
Hmm...if he gets traded to the Cubs in the middle of the season, they wouldn't give him the record since it was in 2 different leagues, right? Yeah I gotta root for whatever gets him to the Cubs...:P

20 in April would be FAR more impressive than Sosa's 20 in June(?). Much colder weather, and don't they usually have more days off at the beginning of the season?
