  1. Let's keep it to one taco thread.... http://www.northsidebaseball.com/PremiumForum/viewtopic.php?t=45029&start=40 viewtopic.php?t=45029&start=40
  2. So, Gordon, Noah, Nocioni, and a first-round pick, plus some way to balance out the moneys? Sign me up for that one. I'd be floored. I'd do that deal so quick my own head might snap off. I doubt the Lakers would go for it. Surely they'll want more than that. I'd want to see the full deal, but that sounds incredibly do-able.
  3. LOL! If a Major League team doesn't offer me a contract this year, I'm retiring from baseball too. I retired from the NFL quite a few years ago I know, Mr Krenzel.

  5. I don't know. But he can act like a tool and is ugly. Does that count? Acts like a tool, ugly, tall....if there's another requirement for being an NBA center, I don't know it.
  6. If the Lakers could be talked down to that, the Bulls would be getting away with murder. and would have no center Not true..we still got Big White and Bad..Aaron Gray Woot! yeah, i meant the bulls would have no center (without Wallace), not the Lakers Can Noah play center?
  7. Aren't they in "NBA Limbo" now then? It hasn't been evident because we've been reaping the benefits of the Curry trade, but getting to the playoffs and losing in the first or second round is pretty much exactly what you're talking about. If there's a guy worth taking the risk on, I'd say Kobe fits the bill.
  8. Well to be fair, you did bring it up. And if I refer to someone by first name only, and you're confused as to who I could possibly mean, please...let me know and I'll clarify. :) i know who people mean its just to egotistical for my humbled self, as you might imagine ;) i dont like to call alex rodriguez, arod. or even ichiro suzuki, ichiro. the only first name people in sports ill do it to (off the top of my head): Mark Kerry i have the same rant about Senator Clinton, but people are sick of me saying it Hillary Hillary Hillary :P

  12. Meph's Special People For Sure. So wait... you'd rather be on your own list of special people, but didn't make the cut. I am too modest to put myself on that list. You know that. Modesty is your defining quality.
  13. Meph's Special People For Sure. elitist.
  14. We should start a poll. Would you rather be a member of the super secret forum or one of Meph's "special" people?
  15. I'm making the Tom Brady face right now.
  16. Please post all polls in the Polls forum. If this is confusing, let me know and I'll try to clarify.
  17. I didn't realize the Cubs and Montanez went their seperate ways. Great pick that one was.
  18. The secret forum has pie. Mmmm. Pie.
  19. You know...Clement is so invisible that I think he gets forgotten about, but he was a really good pitcher for the 3 years the Cubs had him. Gotta give Hendry credit for letting him walk though. He's been nothing since leaving, and it's largely because of injury. His injury sounds mysterious and vague kind of like Prior and Wood's injuries have been too.
  20. I'll join that bandwagon.
  21. see ya, Lou. my biggest HOPE is that Piniella is replaced by Girardi... Why? So, that we can return to being an also-ran in the NL Central? return? laughable. you must have missed that whole 'playoff run' this year. 'also-ran' is a complimentary term when used here. obviously you like the managing and performance of this team as it stands. sorry, i simply do not. Girardi is one of the sharpest baseball minds in the game, and a true leader who bleeds Blue. see Marlins. Florida. 2006... So, you give Lou no credit for getting us to the playoffs, but yet put full blame on him because Ramirez/Lee/Soriano magically forgot how to hit? Right, that makes sense. And yes, return makes perfect sense. Last year we were last place, this year we were in first. Thus, return. And what the hell does "see Marlins. Florida. 2006.." mean What am I supposed to see? A sub-.500 team who finished in 4th place? what happened to the Banedon post? couldn't respond, and logged back in. regardless, Clint Hurdle? how does Clint Hurdle equate to a Joe Girardi point? Merely pointing out that a successful team doesn't mean the manager was great. I didn't make my point very well, and didn't have the energy to repost in a way that made sense, so I deleted the post. :P Thought I got it before it was seen.
  22. If Lou went to NY, I couldn't see ARod leaving. The whole speculation of ARod to the Cubs is based on his relationship with Lou.
  23. I might start watching Yankees games if that happened though.
  24. HA! Please oh please.
