  1. Isn't Marmol always ready to go (according to Lou)? Marmol is always ready to go (according to Marmol).
  2. Yeah, I didn't understand the double switch at all. Blanco is a terrible hitter. He would have been better off leaving DLee in the game and using Zambrano to pinch hit for the pitcher. That mistake probably cost us the game.
  3. I am going to the games on Friday and Saturday against the Rockies, but I need some help on how to get there. I will be coming from Bartlett and don't really want to drive. Should I ride the train or do the park & ride thing? Any other suggestions? We have bleacher tickets, so we want to be there nice and early.
  4. Here are his stats at AAA Iowa: 12 IP, 1.50 ERA, 11 K/4 BB, .150 BAA. That's over 3 games started. His next start will be on Thursday. Thanks. That's exactly the info I was looking for. When are we going to get rid of Marquis and bring Marshall back up?
  5. Was it just me or did the strike zone seem to expand towards the later innings of last night's game?
  6. I haven't heard anything about him lately.
  7. You just knew he'd make a great catch or get a crucial hit in his first few games with us, saddling us all with this conflict of whether to cheer or boo. Why is this even a question? Like it or not, he's a Cub. Booing him for making a great play is [expletive] stupid.
  8. Are you making it down for any of these games? And Bedford? My sister-in-law lives in NRH. Unfortunately not. It always seems that we play in Houston during the middle of the week, which makes it tough to break away from work. A weekend series would be nice. NRH is right around the corner from me. I go to the dog park there every week.
  9. As a Cub fan stuck in Texas, I want to beat the Astros almost as much as I do the Cards or White Sox. A sweep would be wonderful, but 2 out of 3 is required. Especially since we miss Oswalt.
  10. Excellent idea. I am looking for some tickets and can't really afford to pay scalper prices.
  11. I'll be in the bleachers for both games. I actually need 2 more for Saturday's game if anyone is looking to sell any.
  12. I know this probably isn't a big deal to most of you, but I haven't been to Wrigley since my family moved to Texas in 1991. I will be there for the games against the Rockies on the 30th and 31st. I can't wait!

  14. Look, I am pissed that Pie hasn't been given a fair shake in this whole deal, but I think most of you are completely overreacting to this signing. We haven't been getting much productivity out of CF anyway, so this is a low risk deal with a potentially high reward. Now I don't expect much out of Edmonds, but it is worth a shot at this point.
  15. This killed me the reasoning might not be good, but there's no reason to shift theriot down in the lineup as long as he's hitting well in the 2 hole. By the same reasoning, do you think should Soto remain in the 6 hole if Fuku moves up?
  16. No he hasn't actually. He started off 5-10, but is 0-7 since with 5 strikeouts and a GIDP. Isn't that still a .294 average?
  17. Show me where I said Cuban is solely responsible for the Mavs choke jobs. And if you don't think he plays a big part in trades and player acquisitions, then you are fooling yourself. I think the only place he doesn't input much is in the draft.
  18. Yea, the way that franchise has totally flourished since he took over has been a complete mirage. (Cue responses about not winning championships ) Forget winning championships. They had the best record in the NBA last year and choked in the first round. They barely made the playoffs this year and now they are about to blow up the whole team and start over. He threw a lot of money at a crappy franchise, got a city excited about basketball, built a stadium, and now charges astronomical prices to see a team play that can't win [expletive]. Why is everyone so enamored with this buffoon?
