  1. I'm hopeful, but I agree. Others are going to have to pick up the slack. Aramis, Murton, Barrett, etc. are really going to have to play huge.
  2. :?John Blutoski Animal House Blutoski? It's Belushi. The character's name was Blutarsky.
  3. What's wrong with Cuban, and is it so bad that his bank account can't compensate for it? He fancies himself a GM, which he is not. If he were to stay 100% out of all personnel decisions, then I would be OK with it. And despite what his public image is, he doesn't really care about the average fan. I've had a few e-mail "battles" back and forth with him on the issue. Please explain what over. This is very interesting. It started off over ticket prices when I tried to buy tickets when the Bulls were in town. I was surprised to get a response, but I wasn't satisfied with what he said, so I called him on it. We went back and forth for about a week. He's two-faced, not to mention cross-eyed.
  4. Those Mavericks sure have been a wreck since he took over, haven't they? What the hell have they won? They've made it to the Western Conference Finals ONCE, and then only because Sacramento had some serious injury problems. For all the wins they've racked up, they haven't even sniffed a title yet and won't anytime soon. Great call letting Steve Nash walk away for nothing, huh?
  5. Wanting Cuban in on personnel decisions would be a worse decision than trading Lou Brock for Ernie Broglio.

  7. Exactly, but I have faith in Ronny.
  8. I certainly don't Wirtz to buy the team, but as someone who lives in the Dallas area, I don't want Cuban either. [-X
  9. You can only rise so far above what you are. This lineup, without Lee, is one of the worst in baseball. It's just that simple. Unfortunately that's the truth. The offense is going to be terrible without Lee. It wasn't that great with him. It's going to be tough for the next month or so, but if the 3 pitchers come back, then they won't need much offense to win.
  10. I have been a Cubs fan for my whole life and have been lurking here for quite some time. I am sick to my stomach right now, but I felt the need to post to say that the season is NOT over. Losing DLee sucks big time, but I think giving up right now is very premature. Guys are going to have to step up, but hopefully they will rise to the occasion. And if we can get Prior, Wood, and Miller back healthy, that could carry us for quite a while.
