Right now I have low expectations for next year. We'll see what Ricketts and Hendry do in the offseason to change that, if anything.

The comment about DLee's daughter is unnecessary.

You don't know that. Yeah he does. Who's replacing Bradley in RF next year? I'm eager to hear your response. Why don't you wait until we see who actually will replace him next year before you make any proclamations as to who will have a better season. Speculation at this point is like pissing in the wind. Or you can look at the realistic in-house and free agent RF options for next year and see that I'm right Maybe we get someone else to play CF and Fukudome moves back to RF. He can most certainly outproduce Milton next season. You being a hardheaded ass about the situation doesn't make you right.

Well he wasn't producing like he was getting paid for, how about that. That's fine. But there are plenty of players who haven't lived up to their contracts this year. Soriano was worth less than a replacement player this year... with a difference between his performance and what we've paid him of about 20 million. That's hard to pull off when we only paid him 16 million. And I'd be shocked if Dempster and Zambrano have produced within 3 mil of their contract as well... hell, due to the injuries, Ramirez may not have either. How many of them whined and complained to the media like Milton did? Everyone's to blame except for Bradley.

I've been a Bradley basher for most of the season, but saw what he did the last month or so and was looking forward to seeing what he could do in the #2 hole all season next year. But he brought this on himself. He is mentally weak and was trying to buy his way out of town. Congrats to Milton, it looks like he is going to get his wish.

The ones that don't read the story to see that it is all a joke?

Who gives a crap if ot's true? If I had to manage this team I'd drink a lot, too.

Beat me to it. So, I'm not the only one who has heard it. I feel that is pretty definitive considering where I heard it. I live about 15 minutes from The Ballpark In Arlington and have a friend that works in the ticket office, so I hear a lot of Rangers talk around here.

I didn't get to see the game, but the Trib article said Z showed up Scales on the field for not attempting to throw someone out at home. I'm not a Z basher by any stretch, but that crap needs to stop.

As someone who lives 15-20 minutes from The Ballpark In Arlington, I am very happy with the news that the Cubs are coming back to town so soon.

    Here come the Blackhawks!
  16. Old Style
    When do the Bulls/Blackhawks start?
  17. Old Style
    If it's $1, then it's $1 too much.

Please tell me I am having a nightmare. Kevin Gregg did not really give up a 3-run HR to Ronny Friggin' Cedeno, did he?
  19. Old Style
Just think where we'd be if we were 65-0 in those games.
  20. Old Style
Until the Cubs are mathematically eliminated, I won't give up hope. Or drinking. Gotta keep drinking.

Harden was the best pitcher in baseball after becoming a Cub. Dempster had a much better year than Lilly. Zambrano had a similar year but gained a lot of value by being a competent hitter. It woulda been pretty damn crazy to have Lilly pitch in front of any of them. What he said. I must have missed the part where I said he should have started in front of those 3. Oh, so you were just making a pissy comment for the sake of being pessimistic. Gotcha. How is it being pessimistic by pointing out that we were swept out of the playoffs last year and Lilly didn't even get the opportunity to pitch 1 game? As far as making a pissy comment, I'm just trying to fit in around here.

We certainly didn't get our money's worth last post-season.
