    Harden was the best pitcher in baseball after becoming a Cub. Dempster had a much better year than Lilly. Zambrano had a similar year but gained a lot of value by being a competent hitter. It woulda been pretty damn crazy to have Lilly pitch in front of any of them. What he said. I must have missed the part where I said he should have started in front of those 3. Oh, so you were just making a pissy comment for the sake of being pessimistic. Gotcha. How is it being pessimistic by pointing out that we were swept out of the playoffs last year and Lilly didn't even get the opportunity to pitch 1 game? As far as making a pissy comment, I'm just trying to fit in around here.

    You can count the number of players who haven't been a major disappointment this year on one hand. There is plenty of blame to go around. Then again, most of the players aren't crying to the media about the fans being racist or umpires treating them unfairly. For the record, I am not in favor of dumping Bradley this offseason.

    Where did I blame him for the mediocre season the Cubs have had? If you really believed he was just a 'slight disappointment,' you wouldn't be on your soapbox as much as you are concerning Milton. I also love how Milton now has an OPS approaching .820 and people are still bashing it. I guess he needs to have a triple crown type season next year to win the fans back, apparently. lol @ my soapbox And don't you get it? Cubs fans will nover love Milton because he's not white. Yeah, you're right - we hated that Sosa guy not to mention, Dawson and Banks and Billy Williams [/facepalm]

OK, if you read all my posts from the last few pages you'll see I don't want to trade him either. The only position player I'd love to see dumped is Soriano (assuming we don't have to pay him). We can't move Soriano. That contract is gonna cripple us. I realize that, but please let me dream.

    :banghead: Oooh! Call me an idiot and post obscure stats to show that he's just a slight disappointment instead of a major flop that a lot of people think he is. That'll show me. Obscure? How about 7 for 9 against the Mets this weekend? How about last 7 days hes got a batting average(Ill keep it simple for you) of .545 and slugging over .950. How about since the All Star Break hes hitting (again Ill use batting average for you so its not such an obscure stat) .313 and getting on base 43% of the time. But you are right, he hasnt been having quality at bats and just the obscure stats show you dont know wtf you are talking about, when in reality its all stats that show you dont know wtf you are talking about. Sure he's been great lately, but he's OPSing .819 for the season. WHOOPEE! Look, I'm not one of the idiots that think we need to dump him at all costs, but he needs to step it up next season. Plus, he needs to stop being such a whiny baby and act like a professional. Then again, a lot of guys on this team need to do the same.
