    I would have liked to upgrade the middle IF (either at 2B or SS and move Riot to 2B), but I wasn't expecting that to happen so I can't say I was disappointed. If this team plays to its potential, we could all be very happy in October. But that's a big IF.

    How many of our starting pitchers have been on the DL this year? I'm not saying we should have necessarily traded for Peavy. I'm just curious if Hendry even talked to Towers to see how much the asking price had come down. You can never have too much pitching.

    guh....come on. i'm in a good mood and you bring this. Vitters for Grabow? Name the last time Hendry traded a TOP prospect during the season? I mean someon of Vitters ability. Hate on Hendry if you want, but he does do trades very solid. Choi was still very highly regarded when he was traded. Yeah, curse Hendry for that stupid deal.

    It's not Cubs fans who keep bringing him up. Really? This documentary is being done by ESPN, right? I only hear Bartman's name when someone is trying to make fun of me being a Cubs fan. Look, I was pissed at the time and I still think he was stupid for what he did. But in no way do I think he cost the team a World Series trip. If Gonzalez doesn't blow the easy DP ball right after that, no one would have ever learned Steve Bartman's name and the Cubs most likely would have finished off the Marlins in the 9th for the pennant. I feel bad that he still has to hear about that one play almost 6 years later.
