  1. I hope this ends soon so Cheers can start.
  2. no Well they made a little announcement when he and Bobby Cox exchanged lineup cards. They recognized both managers.
  3. Well at least Infante is on my fantasy team. :banghead:
  4. That's weird. I wonder what happened with Trammell and Hendry.
  5. With Quade being named to manage the rest of the season, I would have to think that doesn't bode well for Trammell next season.
  6. Why Quade? I guess this rules out Trammell for next year.
  7. I tend to agree with you, but you're barking up the wrong tree around here. The cool people love Sammy and hate Ryno on NSBB.
  8. Good guess. I am 14,802 now.
  9. I like this news if for no other reason than it drives N&G crazy.
  10. I'm profoundly disappointed that this team played like [expletive] this season. Oh well.
  11. Wouldn't that be true regardless of this possible trade? Or would Lee have returned on a short-term (cheap) deal? I think there's a chance Lee could have come back on a shorter and/or cheaper deal, but you're right that the basic point holds true regardless of whether or not he's dealt. If he is traded though, he's probably not coming back, and that's one less option and leaves them completely barren at the position heading into the offseason. Why would he not come back (assuming we want him back)? I thought he said he didn't want to uproot his family. Well he can go play for the Braves for a few months and have a shot at another ring and then come back to the Cubs next year. That way his family doesn't have to go anywhere.
  12. Did you mean to post this in green or are you a Marlins fan?
  13. http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/4527 What is there to lose at this point? I know some of you will say that he's already been given more than enough chances, but if he has made some changes that have worked at Iowa why not give him one more shot with the big league team? It's not like it's going to hurt us any if he sucks.
  14. Don't you watch Blackhawks TV? I have no idea what that is.
  15. WTF is with the girlie dog? http://twitpic.com/2f5k4h
  16. And to get this thread back on topic, I am ready to watch some college football. My Aggies start the season with 3 crappy non-conference games, so I will have to wait until a week 4 Thursday night match-up in Stillwater to see my boys play on TV. Then the next week it's Arkansas at Jerryworld.
  17. Neither can Mississippi Actually we can....although the only reason why is they teach us a little ditty when you are in kindergarten here: "M-I-crooked letter-crooked letter-I-crooked letter-crooked letter-I-humpback-humpback-I." They taught that in my school in central IL too. Yep, they did in northern IL as well. I grew up in the NW suburbs of Chicago and I learned that in school too.
  18. His swing has been OK this weekend.
  19. Any chance he's done for his career?
